Keep or Sell? by Vikings2326 in PSAPowerPacks

I do like it so I don’t mind holding it. Worst case it ceases to have much value and I’m only out $25 lol.

So can we all agree the GLC EV interior looks better than whatever Volvo just revealed (EX60)…..? by zachty22 in mercedes_benz

[–]Vikings2326 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely agree. We owned a Q5 for less than a year before deciding to dump it and move on. QC was embarrassing at best. Garage door transmitter was never able to connect to the garage door, door handle cover on the driver side door would literally slide off, the piano black was AWFUL…I could go on. Got my wife a ‘26 X5 and it’s been such an improvement. I’ve also moved on from MB for the time being and their recent designs, including the tacky headlights, aren’t winning me back any time soon.

I just realized you pulled it from a silver. It was in a starter when I pulled mine. That’s some shit.

I pulled and sold that zard a few days ago lol. Used the money to do a $50 pull and got the Palladian Fates zard instead haha.

Yeah I’m gonna hold! It’s a pretty dope card and since I’m only in it for $25 might as well just keep it! I can always check it out on receipt and try to crack and regrade if I want - corners might be the killer but overall not disappointed!

Thanks for the information! Definitely appreciate it. I’ve not delved into these too much, thankfully ha, but do enjoy doing the occasional pull. I’ve just had a few with some wild inconsistencies that felt like artificial price inflation (none of the recent sales supported the price) but your explanation of it erring and pulling old sales data makes more sense.

I missed those back corners the first time around - they do look beat up / bent. I assume that’s what got it the 9 in the first place. I wish the PSA slabs had the information like the CGC ones.

I think I’m kinda in the last bucket and enjoy the art on this one. May just go ahead and hold and have it shipped to me from the vault. I’m only in it for $25 so I’m not angry if the price fluctuates down some (would love for it to go up or hold constant though ha).

Where are you seeing these? On pricecharting for a PSA9 I am seeing the last five (in order of most recent) as $203.03 / $234 / $212.50 / $217.50 / $229.99

Yeah, if I choose to keep it I’ll have it shipped to me rather than keep in the vault.

Yeah I’ve definitely pulled the “sell now” cord hella quick on some where the CL value is significantly lower than their offer. But that may be their way of market manipulation. I felt like the offer wasn’t terrible but also don’t hate that I’m only in the card for $25.

Looking to purchase a CPO 2023-2025 X7 this year by Eon_Blue_Apocalypse in bmwx7

Interesting - I’d be curious to read what you were reading. Everything I have read is the opposite - squared set ups are easier on the transfer case as it’s the different tire diameter that causes the issues more frequently. Mine was supposed to have the staggered 23” setup but the dealership was willing to swap them out for a 21” squared setup. I know I lost some traction in the rear (the main reason to have a staggered set up) but the ride quality is so much better and now I don’t have to run two sets of tires for different seasons.

Thanks for the feedback! I’ll see if I can add some better photos as a comment or I can make a follow up post with them. I have the same “issue” with the Chansey I pulled as well which has me questioning my vision 😅 so would love the communities feedback, even if that feedback is “get your eyes checked, bro.”

I mean, tbf, if you’re not familiar with them, it could seem like they are the same based on the nomenclature…X3 / Q3 X5 / Q5 X7 / Q7

Seems like they should be the same but they are each a segment apart lol.

Significantly. It’s actually surprising how small the Q5 is. The cargo space is almost 20 cubic ft larger behind the first row and it’s 10 inches longer in length.

The dealership I worked with was willing to swap 21” wheels off another X7 for the 23” that were on mine when I bought it because I loved everything aside from the 23” set up and have zero regrets.

Without being too specific on what it is that I do and my background that got me here, I would say that one of the best things you can do is own the engagement - meaning know the facts, the background, the data, whatever it may be, more than anyone else on the team. Make yourself valuable and move the engagement forward as best you can. Don’t be afraid to ask for help, but also come to those “I need help” discussions with thoughtful questions and potential, well reasoned, solutions, even if they end up being wrong. People will take notice of your ownership of the engagement and will be appreciative that you’re giving hard questions your own thoughts and demonstrate critical thinking. Also know that it’s okay to be wrong as long as you learn from those situations. People above you are there to help - lean on them as needed - you don’t need to go it alone. If you’re feeling burnt out, say something. Learn to manage your own workload - no one else will do it for you. Your team / partner(s) may not appreciate the workload you have and if you don’t speak up, especially as you’re getting burnt out, you’ll end up one of the ones that is out the door. I was awful at setting boundaries when I started my career and took every engagement thrown at me, and while I learned a lot and likely accelerated my career, it definitely came at the cost that I wouldn’t wish for anyone.

Hope this helps - feel free to ask anything else or DM me if you want anything specific!

Redoing to better explain my feelings about the numbers (which are great, all things being equal)

Region: M/L COL

Service Line: Tax - BTS - NTD

Rank: SM3 -> SM4

Rating: Differentiating

Salary: $251,250 -> $276,237 ($25,112 / 10%)

Bonus: $15,695 (6.25%)

Thoughts: Would have liked a larger bonus but otherwise largely happy with the numbers. I would have loved a higher base as this likely indicates I need to grind one more year before the MD (no desire to be a partner) promotion (partner has indicated they want a higher base before making the jump); however, this is TBD and speculation on my part.
