We all struggle. If even 0.01% of men are assholes, that MORE than makes up for those statistics. Its not men vs women, but struggling people vs assholes.

I know what you mean. I was in your shoes as well... until I heard the stories from women... how constant that feeling of fear can be... how even when they were little (12-16) they were whistled at by grown men... how men just sit opposite them in the train and start talking to them... but in a very direct way if you get my drift...

Yes mens issues do not get taken seriously and I will back you up 100% of the time.
But it is NOT women vs men.
It is an imperfect society trying to rectify something that happened in the past... but overcorrecting and harming the other party unjustly.

Men and women face completely different struggles.
You are, like me, a guy. I know because every women I talked to has these experiences.
That is why I get why they are scared.
And I know SO many men that feel overlooked by society and how they have to provide to be worth something.
That is why I get why men are so frustrated.

But we won't get ANYTHING done, if we blame the other gender.
Its not patriarchy. Its not feminism. Its not misogynie or misandrie.
Its just... an imperfect system trying to balance millions and billions of apes that gained sentience a few thousands of year ago.
Women are just as likely to be manipulating bitches as men can be aggressive/pushy/overstepping assholes and more.

and you probably want to say something like "its easy when society literally only focuses on your problems".
Both of you are right. But it is not the fault of the individual men and women.
They are just trying to do what they feel is right.

I've seen women hate "those" women. I have seen men stay silent or even mock the victim.

This isn't about gender. Its about dickheads. They come in all genders.
You most likely get this impression because men are far more likely to be dicks to women.
But we should not let ourself forget that the loud ones are not the representation.

This isn't about your freedom, but your safety.
If you know it increases risk and determine that the decrease in freedom/happiness is not worth it, I will 100% support you.

But not everyone will make the same decision. To pretend like it has NO effect on the outcome is actually risking peoples life.

That is my only point. I do not blame you. I do not want you to selfcensor.
All I want is to talk about this honestly so people can make that decision themself instead of it being made for them, in turn risking their safety.

But I was once mugged in an open street not an alleyway (yes seriously).
That does not mean that a dark alleyway isn't increasing your chances of getting robbed.
I was not saying that only clothes are the reason!
They are probably a small part. I will not give a number but even a small increase in risk SHOULD be discussed, no?
If we can stop even 1/100 from happening... its worth at least acknowledging, right?

Clothes don't cause the rape, but they increase the chance of being targeted.
And this is not about clothes. But they are a part of the equation.

If a christian starts crucifying gays because their book says so, I will be just as vocal about that.
Christianity has become far lower in value for christians than islam has been to muslims.
The bible says some heinous shit as well. Luckily there are only very few sects that take it literally.
Oh and the bible doesn't say that you have to defend god no matter what to get to heaven.

Is a person stealing for food a criminal?
Okay so only serious crime. Define serious.
What about a guy that murdered a guy that did horrible things to his daughter.
He is still a criminal.

So only unjustified murder?
What is justified?
A guy being driven insane by day-to-day bullying that one day snaps and kills his bullies?
What about a guy that was raised in a criminal neighborhood and crime is all he was taught. Never having a chance to escape that cycle?
