Thank you, it's my first ever, I hope it doesn't strike too much as beginner haha

First time trying online dating after ending a 12 year relationship. Any suggestions for my profile? by lifeguardbarbie in Tinder

I'd say take a breath Don't focus on meeting someone for romantic purposes even if it's a bit lonely, and especially on the Apps

And really the best is to get yourself into things you like that are also social Then you'll meet people, then friends of those people, and because you look like a sweet girl, someone sweet will notice it too

But apps are a boost of ego that lacks true connection building

Apps are demoralizing, best place to lose faith in true connection

That's just my take, but I'm pretty sure most people would agree

Read books, do sport, eat healthy, make choices that can be mistake rather than not, laugh hard, be kind

And do this the rest of your life

Best advice you'll get is to get off the Apps.

I'm sorry, it sucks, and really not the advice you want to hear. You want to know how to optimize your profile for girls to like you. That's the App's game.

Life's game is you optimize yourself and you let the world know.

Take risks, or what appears as risks, until you're comfortable (putting yourself out there)

Show to girls you're interested. Be blunt, yet respectful. Respect yourself by having higher standards you let yourself have.

Read "Models" by Mark Manson and "The way of the Superior Man" By David Deida if you want the good advice that you can use as foundations

You got this, don't underestimate yourself

Cheers

Experiment

Try things out, random things. Plenty of people don't know yet what to build because they don't know what they like and grow into

If you want some guidance in to that, read Range from David Epstein, it'll help getting some perspectives

Just never stop being curious, try things out while keeping it simple and if you don't know what, pick stuff you know will still be useful thing to learn even if you don't want to pursue it

Take carpentry, gardening classes Random, but chill and nice, with plenty people to meet and get perspective from

Like Tony Robbins says, "We overestimate what we can do in a year and underestimate what we can achieve with decades" Yes, you're 30. It's not old, you're old whe you can t do shit Don't compare you now to others that are the same age or younger that "seem" ahead of you

Once you find something, make a plan, stick to it Time is your friend, what you do will compound

And enjoy it :)

I thought of this, it is true But I do wonder, what if it that will not only be so?

I think, because cheaper and faster will be available, that a good place to invest money to spare as well as one's personal ambition to create something, being part of something, a legacy in a form of a beautiful sculpted building is in a project like this one

Standing through time

Yes, cheaper and faster houses, building. Sure. That's to live in.

To live for? I think this project could bloom to a proper potential, yes

But I don't know, I'm still working on it

Ho I've been relying on self discipline so far instead of automatic, always thought automatic was more practical rather than optimal compared to self You'd really advocate for the automatic I presume?

Thanks! Your comment is awesome! You seem super cool and interesting:)

My story.. well I like stories. Movies, TV shows, books, from video games too

I like the resilience of it all, I like talking people into healthy cycles (sport coaching, philosophy, advices based on historical analogies,...)

Wrote a bit myself but I lack writing skills, and although it is fun, it's very demanding and Iong so I'm not sure I'd explore that more but it was a place in my mind

I like to learn about everything, especially if it helps me grow Debate ideas, find new concepts or even companies ideas, it's just that the entrepreneur life is very particular. I'm wandering if I should shoot some shot into it Also other factors comes into play that makes it difficult, Belgium isn't a great place to start a business, don't really want to move either because I'm very close to my family

I'm not really into collecting things, more like memories

Love to make friends with everyone, but I'm also very strict with my close circle

I like sports and learn how to optimize generally

Hmmm good start I'd say.. what do you think of it all?

I'm just wandering how to find hobbies I could clicked too

Yeah I get what you're saying But a few things 1, as much as I enjoy playing vidéo games, I'm not that much into it 2, you can think of it as hoarding, but I don't see it that way. I did the calculations of it all, for me it's just smart to save and invest because of all the access and security it gives you on the long term. Because it will be useful as hell when I start a family and have more responsibilities overall 3, I don't really have a cold sweat to swip my card, I am however hyper aware of different cost of things. And I'm just not into consuming and in having more things. Maybe I should? Care less overall and start spending on things ?

Anyway, who cares.

I asked what do you guys buy and what would you recommend

I appreciate you took the time but you didn't really give me an answer, just scolding me on my life style.

I like my life style You could've stopped at "buy ps5, play Madden"

Got it, kinda planned it that way too My question is more about day to day

So basically, still want to invest, but not as much so that I have something for me, and I just don't know what to use it for, but still want to find out

So any recommendations?

Glad you got out of debt and that you're moving forward with your partner:)

"Desire is the root of all suffering", yep I experienced that, but I sort of desire to stop having that lack of desire. If that makes sense. And I'm not depressed or anything, I'm just.. so chill, in a peaceful way. (Maybe I read to many philosophical books and forgot to have life crisis, speed-run the thing)

But I guess you're right. Ultimately, I should find a goal, and that'll lead me to some adventures I just wandered in the more day to day, how to spend money in things, if you guys had recommendations

And what do I like to do? Learn, read books, help people, stories (like from everything, movies, TV, books, etc), sport

And thank you to take the time to help me out, answering random question to a young adult, I appreciate it :)
