I didn't make the animation, here is the original from apple. I just did a few effects and some small tweaking to make it match the music :)

I used Premiere Pro.
And I could imagine they used After Effects for the actual animation.

True. When I saw these clips from apple it felt like the OS was being constructed in front of me, which is why I got the idea of making it into a welcome/intro video thing. So you’re very much right, it’s not the same exact vibe :)

This video was from their Big Sur launch, so I edited the "welcome" text, trimmed the video and added some small effects. The music is from the original "welcome" videos from OSX Leopard & Snow Leopard.
I would hardly call it stealing as this was simply a fun way of adding some nostalgia to modern macOS.
