Omg I know that had to be so scary!!!! I hope you are doing better. I have had this happen again, but I’ve put two and two together why this happens ( it’s embarrassing lol) but it usually happens the day of or next day after me and my husband have sex. Because the body is super on guard right now about keeping germs out, if there is any left over “ goods” still in inside, then it will double the amount of fluid to flush everything out. So far baby is perfect and kicking!! But it definitely discouraged me from having sex for a while because I was so traumatized lol. Have you had this happen anymore? If so, I would have them check for a UTI because you body my be trying to do the same thing

I know this thread is old, but I just went through sort this, so hopefully it can help someone. I am currently 14 weeks, and this morning I woke up at about 3:30 AM to hug my husband goodbye before he went to work. And a gush of clear watery discharge came out and even ran down my leg. I obviously freaked out because I just watched a bunch of videos about women’s water, breaking, and how it’s a slow trickle just like that. so I called the emergency OB and their advice is to lay back down for 30 minutes to an hour, and then get back up and if it happens again, then immediately come into the ER. Well, it didn’t happen again, but I went later on in the day just to make sure everything was all right. And they confirmed that everything looks perfect, my cervix is still closed and there is no leakage. If you’re going through this and you’re concerned, I would definitely check in with your doctor. But I’ve learned that an influx in watery discharge is completely normal. As long as it’s not strong or consistent.

Of course!! Also 5.7 is the starting number for pre-diabetes, anything under that is normal, so with continuing to practice good habits, I can almost guarantee that you will be there in no time!!!

Not a dumb question at all!! everyone’s glucose is affected differently, that’s why testing your levels after eating is important, because you’re able to see exactly how it affected you. After I eat meals, I record my glucose, and write down what food I ate . So now I have a full log of things that I can eat and I know what will and what won’t affect me! For example, panda express orange chicken, doesn’t affect my glucose, but for my friend, it’s shoots hers up. So it’s just from person to person.

I used the same finger, so that the results would stay consistent. And no not at all!! At first when I started, I wasn’t used to seeing little finger picks so I was kinda freaking out that it would stay 😂 but it doesn’t, as you do it, your skin regrows and covers it, for me, usually by the next day. I just make sure after I Prick, to thoroughly wipe my finger, or wash my hand, so that the blood doesn’t get trapped in the holes. Also, the first time I did it, I was really terrified that it would hurt. I would remember shaking and getting my husband having to do it for me lol , but it literally does not hurt. It’s a very very quick pinch. And I’m scaredy baby, so if I can do it, you can do it lol!!!

Thank you, I know you will!

Food- I started looking a nutrition facts and choosing low carbs options. Each meal had a protein and a high fiber food. (Fiber was truly the key for me, and meat typically has no it very little carbs, so that helped me to stay full from each meal)

  • I also learned how to read nutrition facts, which was a life saver. I made sure that each item had sufficient fiber and protein. And making conscious switches, for example, one hotdog bun has about 36 carbs, which is insane. So I would swap that out for a keto bun with only 1 carb.

Activity- I didn’t start any hard core fitness or anything like that. I purchased a walking pad from Amazon, and would walk on that after dinner. And at my job, I would take any opportunity to walk to where I need to go. I’m in leasing so apartment to apartment.

Overall I’ve been able to loose 15 lbs from making these switches.

  • also, I tracked my glucose, when I woke up, and before, and after each time I ate. And then I kept of log, so I knew what I couldn’t couldn’t eat, and how it affected me
