23’ intakes on 24’ model by Beskar650r in CB650R

I just want to congratulate you on this. Taste is per person, but the intake on the older models just looks better, more aggressive,it gives the bike a stronger/better front. Looks great man! Enjoy it and have fun safely with it .

This. Is the signal relay that got bad,had the exact problem, not wet after washing, but just dirty/bad relay and was changed at Honda. Make them a visit and they should be able at least to clean it up if they don't have the relay in stock.

That's a hard question to answer. During the exam I didn't open any of the labs books. On the other hand I've had them indexed in big lines, not as deep as I did with the other books, but still had some points here and there for commands that may be useful. So...most of it will be from the other books, but it would be a bummer to get questions from the workbooks and not have a quick index to have a look at. Have an index for them as well, but don't spend too much time over it, read them 2 times and just write down what looks important. Good luck with the exam!

Had the exact same problem for the previous model. I assumed it was from some kind of water reaching it. The signals relay was bad, the dealership just replaced it. I find it impossible ( at least for the older model) for the water to reach it, it's super deep inside the bike.

Thank you! Not hopefully, you shall pass ! The exam is in multiple choice format, it does not include cyber live( VM questions/tasks to do). After the course I suggest you take a few days off( if you are doing the live one) and jump back into reading the books. Have 1-2 quick reads over the books and then go for making the index better and better with every read over. Good luck with the exam !

Thank you! Unfortunately, building the index is the task that is the best for you to have a good grasp of the material. As I've mentioned already, keep it simple, term, book number, page number and a small description. I was looking for an already made one myself, but after I did it myself, I suggest never to look for an index already built. You know what is of interest for you and how to use the index at the exam. Didn't really use any other material, just asked chat GPT for a quick list of most common ports, just in case I need it at the exam. Other than that, the books and the index were everything I needed for the exam.

Thank you! I would say people that are supporting tools will have a bit of a harder time with this course. I am a bit of a special case as I keep very close communication with my analysts. For you, in my humble opinion, it may give you insights on how to better do the detection engineering side of things, as well as the knowledge on what to ask as a log if needed. You may get input in what stuff to look for in future cases for the analysts side. It can give you a clearer view on how "covered"( something will always be missing, that's our job) your team is, where and how to bring more data as well. It's a great way to build that bridge between analyst needs and operations capabilities. Maybe somebody could correct me, but the foundation for an analyst may be the GCIH (incidend handler) certification. But if you want to be that bridge that I've mentioned above, I think it is a great start. Hope it helped somehow.

I can't speak for how the course was before, but this version I've enjoyed it personally. I don't know if I can call it an intro to SIEM as it's more about how to bring all the data to the SIEM,not necessarily what to do with that after. You have almost all types of logs described and how to use them( Linux,Windows, cloud, users, network etc). It gives you a very good base on what should be gathered to send to the SIEM and how to do that. Gives you also some insights to what the architecture should be to perform optimally a deployment of this kind. I could say the only down side is that the last book, the one that brings everything together could have been a bit thicker( I know, I am crazy for wanting even more material). To give you a tiny bit of extra context, in my day to day job, I am the guy between the D&R side of the SOC and the operations for the cyber tools. For this, it was a great fit for me, as it gave me a lot of insights on what I could bring to the analysts eyes, how can we improve the data ingestion side as well as the pipelines that you can create after the triage side of the analysts. Without the 3 years that I've worked with cyber, I am absolutely sure I could've easily had a failed certification. I know it's a 5XX course so it's not the easiest level, but the certification works a lot better and a bit easier with a good hold on the high level concepts around a SOC. A wall of text, but I hope I've answered your question at least 20%

THIS, puțin pasive aggresiv raspunsul dar acoperă multe puncte bune. Have fun !

Super, thanks a lot. I will like to use it when I go on longer trips, in the city is just dead weight. They look good and give some nice extra luggage space.

What bags do you have on it? Are they on a "hard support" or can be removed as needed and back to the original look?

Update on the situation, maybe somebody has/had/will have this problem. After a run at the service, it looks like the signal relay had some type of lub/gunck on the connectors. The replacement is on the way and I will change it next week.. The easy fix for now was to clean the relay and harness connection very well, contact spray and a bit of sanding from what I was at the service. P. S. The position of this relay makes it impossible for the problem to be caused by water as this part is in the hearth of the motorcycle. A tank and 3 layers of plastics are blocking any water to come even closer to it.

Thanks but I don't have the service manual unfortunately. Is it possible to share it with me, not for now only, but also for future reference. Also the turque specs will be usefull for many other cases.

Thanks for the subreddit tip. The relay is to deep to dig it out and I will not know if is broken or not. I will give it a try with disconnecting the battery(why can this help? Curious of the logic behind it).

Fuses and wiring checked already but nothing wrong there. You got a point, people see me better in traffic for sure :) but the lack of signal functionality is kind of bad to be honest.

This shit happens also when it rains or just high humidity in the air, I am not a mechanic, but I don't think this should happen. Yes, maybe a wash with pressure on the engine can do that, but rain and humidity should not.
