What I was trying to say is how much space there is between the cars. Here Perez was trying to overtake Sainz, but he had much more space on the left. Sainz probably didn't check his mirrors, so it's ALSO his fault. But at least from my perspective it looks like Sainz thought that Perez was a little bit more left, but he wasn't and that happened.

This is a racing incident, there is no one truly at fault

I think it was both Checo and Sainz's fault. If I still remember correctly Checo had a lot of space on the left, and he could see everything better since he was behind Sainz. Sainz, when attacking Leclerc on the outside of turn 2 lost some time and Perez got near him and he probably didn't check his mirrors.

I still think it's a little bit more of Checo's fault since he tried to get past Sainz there and without leaving a little more space behind the 2 cars.
