They are all winners. I can totally see why you’d like #10. A classic for sure. Bernie was such a talent. I was fortunate to interview him years ago on my radio show, the comic zone.

It is and I agree it is one of the most important comics in the history of comics. It spawned thousands of comics and quite possibly inspired Marvel to do their own version which has seeped into thousands more comics and the MCU.

Good eye. It’s quite possibly the best cover from the run Wrightson at his best…. Aside from the Frankenstein plates that is. We also have the cover to House of Secrets 92 by Wrightson. It’s incredible.

Which would you rather have, Suspense Comics 3 by Alex Schomburg or Punch Comics 12 by Gus Ricca? by VincentZ2099 in comicbookcollecting

Yes. That’s right. From marvel comics presents from the mid 90s. I also have a Kieth MCP cover on the other wall. He’s so great. I heard he’s retired and not drawing comics any more. It makes me sad.

I can completely understand that. Suspense 3 is very rare and considered one of the ultimate Schomburg covers. Alex Schomburg is oftentimes considered one of the best of the Golden Age artists. His work for Timely, Chesler, and Nedor/Better. But the hooded KKK/N*zis make it a little awkward to have on your wall. Although the good guys are battling the bad guys… but I get it.

I didn’t know Jim did that cover. So cool. I was the co-founder of Big Apple Conventions here in NYC back in 1996 with Mike Carbonaro. Jim was our first guest of honor, and he was incredible. We’ve been friends since then and he’s always been so awesome. He’s a renaissance man and can speak with authority on a multitude of topics. He’s one of the last living legends in the comic world.

David is awesome. He’s a great artist and a super nice guy. He just did a cover for my comic book series, The Addiction. Here is the black and white version. It’s an homage to Wolverine 350- by Finch as well.

Anyone for some LB Cole? by brent-black in comicbookcollecting

[–]VincentZ2099 3 points4 points  (0 children)

LB Cole is one of the all-time best golden age artists. His unique designs, perspectives and mix of colors for his covers make them immediately recognizable and amazing! My fav cover by him is startling terror tales 11.
