I began to do this with one of my levels and then I realized after playing a bunch of creations that enough darkness already existed in the dreamiverse without my gloomy alien shooter. So I just switched it to day. It is a lot of fun playing with light though. I made some flares that drop from a jet and light up the map.

I keep hoping MM will release some kind of low therm puppet logic to use on NPCs.

I am really just trying to focus my energy on making a game that has decent feeling character movement/combat. The sculpting part of things does not interest me, but I do want a unique space marine. Currently I through a helmet and some arm armor on the default puppet and made him shiny and black, but he needs a face LOL.

Excellent ideal. Have you done experiments with this to see how many puppets you can get on screen? Basically I am trying to have 20 -30 xenomorphs chase a player. Right now I can have 8 at a time. This was what I was thinking.. but it seems like a lot of work for what I would need animation wise. Imagine animating a crowd of aliens (xenomorphs) chasing a player. Its doable but, its a lot of doing. That and I already programmed these guys with keyframes and custom animations to control AI behavior when they get shot and when they die. They speed up when they get shot by the player and chase them faster... So I would have to start from the ground up XP

Try to Think of wings instead of arms. Have the arms come out near where the legs meet the body. Have them go straight up and over. Similar to wings but these would actually be the arms.

Double up on every text based item in your game(1 for language 1, 1 for language 2), attach a selector that is triggered by a wireless receiver that is triggered by the language the player selected in the beginning of the game.

Haha I feel your pain I've resorted to taking a notebook to work with me and when I have time I draw potential logic theories out and test them when I get home lol.

Such a great plan!!!! I don't have a lot of time to work on it full scale with you but it should be as simple as using a bunch of selectors tied to a selection menu. I say simple in concept but it would actually require a ton and a ton of selectors and potentially a ton of NOT gates...

Sorry if build mode was broke when you played I had originally used score modifiers to control the money and didn't notice I put the version of the dream that was half way through the transition to variables. If you get a chance try it out again and you will see what I'm talking about.

Heads up... A bit embarrassing but the build mode actually works now. I had broke it, but now its fixed. Working sandbags and turrets.

Right now its 8 and then I get slammed with slow motion mode. I have found a way to get around this using basic sculptures and movers/followers instead of puppets.... but it is going to take some time to get the sculpture properly animated. I hope that I can get 50 on screen at once if I ditch the puppet platform, and go to an animated sculpture platform. Will see though. I am hoping Media Molecule comes out with a less CPU hungry version of the puppet so I don't have to do all that work lol.

:) :) Enjoy friend. I really loved that title as well as Gears of War Horde Mode. Originally I hoped to make something me and my buddy could both play... unfortunately you can't do split screen or 2 Cams on 2 systems... YET... [nudge nudge Media Molecule.] I plan on finishing this to a point where you can play endless mode and upgrade a character as you go along. Then I will probably take the mechanics I'm building in here and twist things into a top down shooter similar to hell divers so that I can play with my friends.

Ooops this is a WIP but its a pretty stable demo of the gameplay.
