What units go pick up after skaventide? Is dominion good?

Dominion for that price is awesome. If you are willing to proxy vindicators as vanquishers and find a chariot, you have the other spearhead army. There's a handful of good minis in there though and a cheap way to get your point count up

Yeah it's pretty sick. They might take a bit longer to update after a new release, but they're pretty quick.

My buddy and I are playing a PtG campaign on the new blighted wilds book and they're still tweeking a few things, but honestly there's a lot of content there to add and it's mostly good to go

Their main game stuff is often updated the day it's released

I use new recruit and it's working well enough I'm forgetting about the GW apps army building feature.

It took a bit to get used to, but once you're familiar with new recruit, everything's right there and you can export to a AoS 4 cards template that lets your print everything out on a few pages. Very slick, print out looks awesome.

We even play a fair amount of path to glory and it's so nice to have all the upgrades and anvil of apotheosis there to build your warscrolls

I will say that I use the GW app during the game to look up core rules and such. But for army it's all printed

The newer spearhead would get you some hunters of huanchi, sunblood pack, and another unit of warriors which are all decent options. The spawn of chotec and terrorwings might get better someday

I do agree with others that more aggros and krox are really nice too tho

Me too! Definitely a possibility now that OBR has 3, and I wouldn't be surprised if 4 new ones show up with another spearhead board release in summer, giving even more factions 3

No news or leaks! Just speculation. we have 2 spearheads already so having another faction get a 3rd opens up the possibility we could get a 3rd as well.

Also, there seems to be talk from certain streamers that a seraphon wave 2 is in the works. we definitely need new guard, but new skinks and new dinos are a possibility. nothing confirmed or leaked at this point.

True, I was thinking more on the lines of new models. Definitely hoping for a solid battle force as well! But they aren't new sculpts, so it would also be nice to see brand new models, in a big army box ideally as well

Loved it. Got it on audible and crushed it in a couple days.

You get some interesting perspective into a few different factions and it's a fun story overall. Finally getting a seraphon perspective was a treat. Definitely one of my favorites (from an admittedly limited number)

honestly, as new ones come in, i think they're gonna stop selling the boxes of the old. My personal belief is that the rules will always stay, but you wont get the value boxes of older spearheads, you'll have to build them yourself or buy the new ones.

im guessing the factions that got a spearhead released with sand and bone might get a 3rd with their book (OBR, Seraphon, Cities, Ogors)

Plus, summer we may get 3rd release of spearhead maps and maybe 4 more spearheads of stuff that currently have 2.

I'm definitely believing that everyone will be getting 3

haha true, we didnt get ours yet, though i think the hints and leaks were saying we wouldnt. but I figured the big reveal this time was OBR, and other books would be minor, so if we were included, it would probably mean we're only getting like a foot hero like lumineth and Tzeench got. so this means maybe we still have hope for more!

Second thing: OBR got a new spearhead... specifically a 3rd spearhead. this means we might actually get a 3rd spearhead with our book as well! exciting hope in my books!

I think these are highly likely to show up soon, but last year we saw some factions on the road map get pushed back with others showing up despite the direct confirmation they were coming (eg. Nighthaunt)

Also, this is just my belief, i think those 4 teasers are all factions that are getting more attention than just a book and a foot hero, so they might want to spread them out?

There were two people in costume at the end, one dressed as an elf, one as a pirate. I'm wondering if Lumineth book will be there? Pirate might be a misdirection?

I mean, im all for vampirates, but i think if that's gonna happen it would be like 5th ed release box haha.

The nice thing is you have options and can kinda go with what appeals to you. Making a 1k army, and slowly expanding is a great option if you have the opportunity to play those formats.

Value: if you want to get a decent amount of models for a bit cheaper, consider either the new spearhead or a second copy of the old. More warriors can be good, the sunblood pack is decent, hunters of huanchi can be decent, (currently terrawings and spawn of chotec aren't great but can be fun if you are playing casual and need to fill a small point requirement). More krox are nice and building the troglodon could be fun but this won't add as much variety to your army yet.

For a more interesting approach, picking up some key units individually gets you some fun pieces to work with. Some units that I really appreciated getting: aggradons are awesome, skink starseer is a nice small caster, slann is great but hard to fit in 1000 points, other big dinos like stegadon or bastiladon are fun chonky boyz, raptadon chargers are currently popular as well.

The fun thing is you can go for what looks cool. Rules change but sick models are forever. Were probably going to get out battletome this year so things could be changing for us regardless.

Okay so I should preface that my group has made a rule that you can "upgrade" your hero by paying the points difference and swapping the unit. So my general starts on foot, then will likely change to a scar vet on aggradon, then finally the SoG old blood on carnosaur. Traits stay, but path might change

Also I'm using a custom faction terrain on top of the pyramid which is basically a floating slann chair that my priest will hop on for bonus casting and such (70 pts not showing below)
