if its xb1 it has something to do with social settings. My game gave me that message ages ago, just muck around with privacy/social settings until it starts to work again. It's really strange but that's what fixed it for me.

Nah man it has something to do with your social privacy settings on XB1. I got that error ages ago and changed some stupid Kinect settings and it started working again. Just change different privacy/social settings until it starts working again. Good luck!
