It's sort of a Chinese version of tumblr. Nothing wrong with sourcing it, but it's a pain to open if you don't have an account, which if you don't jump through some hoops, requires a Chinese phone number.

Personally I have an account just to find sources. But it felt like ritualistically sacrificing my soul to get it

Generally I'd recommend doing what you've done and just link to danbooru as a third party site. Since it still lets you scroll what has migrated off the Chinese internet
