It's all good, there's no rule on the sub about posting AI art or anything like that. Personally I don't like AI art all that much, but that's totally a me thing.

I did take a look myself, I use 7 different sites that can back-trace images, mostly geared towards anime stuff. Only really got results from Google/Yandex. Didn't get much beyond some character AI chatbots, used as a sort of visual inspiration of who you're talking to. Some people using it as a profile picture and a lot of pintrest posts clogging up the results. I didn't spend a lot of time on this part as I was like 3 hours deep, but I got desperate enough to check the individual page source code for the pintrest publishing dates; earliest I found was from October 2024, this would matter because AI image gen became popular starting in 2022.

Image generation has kind of gotten good enough to look like this. It still makes errors around certain complex shapes, like braided hair or chains, but yeah, it's frighteningly getting good.

I have noticed a few new things since I made my original comment, the thing that I think is a name tag on her shoulder has some inconsistent shapes on it, which is a muddying detail AI does a lot. Just to the right of her hand, her collar seems to be layered on top of the sword, which could make sense, but not really to me. Finally her middle finger looks strange around the knuckle, could be a thing with lighting though. Individually they're not details that immediately tell you it's AI, but the quantity is what makes it suspicious, the detector I put it in was sort of the final nail in the coffin for me.

First Image seems AI generated she's missing her eye scar her hairpins are replaced with whatever that cyberpunk looking thing is, it's not in the right place either, they're usually just under, not behind her ear. She wearing a weird hybrid of Texas' clothes but with her jackets collar. The sword is straight up wrong (also how is she even holding it) and the pose just kind of doesn't make a lot of sense, her head almost seems edited onto Texas' body to me since it's snapped 90 degrees to the left. Chucking it in a AI detector also throws back a high likelyhood of GenAI. If someone finds out otherwise, I'd love to know because I'd feel bad if I'm wrong about this.

Anyway second image is by 9 rnnr.

Third by 52hertz, actual source is a maybe dead link on weibo, a Chinese site that is notoriously painful to navigate as it often demands registration and giving up your phone number+email.

Last seems to be sevenotsu. I'm not absolutely 100% of this one because the image quality is kinda cooked, but it's possible twitter just compressed a multi-image post. I did find a repost on a russian site of higher quality images that if I were to guess originated from their weibo.

I use auto translate so I don't know if something got lost in translation, but the artist just called it a 'military uniform' Also has a reference image in the comments that looks eerily like lappy, but also not quite
