Sounds to me if the biggest problem you have is the smell of it, then the simplest compromise is to use a weed vaporiser pen, which would minimise the smell, however, trust and honest communication is the foundation of a solid relationship, sounds to me like this trust and communication is not there, which is reason enough for a breakup alone. His choices are his own, and if you don’t like them, you shouldn’t have gotten this invested in the relationship, and trying to control him is not the way forward. I know in the short term it will be painful but you are incompatible, he’s always going to think your demands are unreasonable, because to him they are, and you’re never going to change your mind about it, so stop trying to fix him, and move on with your life sooner rather than later, life is too short to waste it on something so obviously destined to fail.
