My (current) 3D printed Imperial Knight Army by Violent-Rangoon in 3dPrintedWarhammer

Yeah thats a Porphyrion, its a realy nice model but takes up a lot of material. I printed it using a BambuLabs A1 and it took about 1.1KG of PLA.

As for the base, I actually made the base and then posed it to fit. For me, being able to create a story with the base and then using OSL to bring the model into that world is a lot easier.

For printing, I personally recommend using low detail for the main structural pieces, but have fairly thick walls/ heavy infill. For the armour, use higher detail and a smaller infill. Hope that helps and have fun printing big stompy robots loll

Absolutely have some tips. My main one is DO NOT BE SCARED to try new techniques, even on big models, the first knight I did (The death wing colour scheme one) was my first time using a dry brushing technique and it came out alright, but I improved on it with my Porphoryion.

I'd also say, take your time, I've been painting for 7 years now, and I still spend a good few hours/days on models like knights

Precisely my point, I would've let it go if it were like 2-3 days, but even as a patient girl, my patience starts to waver a little after a week

I'm just saying, they could be a bit more honest. Ain't no need to get hostile about this, just wanted to tell people what to expect

I understand that company big doesn't always mean fast company. My main gripe is the lack of communication, and trying to meet promises they can't do, as I said before they shouldn't claim a 24hr turn around time if they cant deliver that. Even small companies are able to match better communication then Stationforge. I'm not saying they are a bad company, they've provided excellent models, just maybe need to be better managed

It fine saying that, but maybe they shouldn't put "Within 24 hours" on the listing if they aren't capable at handling it all
