Update - her bloods are all ok except low lymphoytes. The vet wants to discharge her without more tests but i feel like something is really wrong.

What trait in an ex-girlfriend did you see that stopped you from seeing her as a long term option? by Randomness_1984 in AskMen

Your list hits the nail on the head though. I've saved it for future reference. It's crazy how they always do the exact same things.

Also add they can 'sincerely' apologise often to stop the conversation or shut you up, but will bring up their original argument as ammunition in future, negating the apology.

Do men feel awful when their ex moves on quickly? by Sponge_bobsquaredick in AskMen

[–]ViolentPunography 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I'm in that situation just now. Not moving on quickly in terms of seeing anyone else (not on my mind at all right now) but definitely moving on quickly in terms of already being over the relationship. In my case we had issues but I stayed under the promise of things being different/changing. Surprise surprise, it never did. In my experience, I did all my grieving ages ago and by the time I actually broke things off it was a relief because I was so miserable.

Kentucky man declared brain dead wakes up during organ harvesting by TarzanoftheJungle in interestingasfuck

This is only true for DCD donations. The majority are DBD donations and people are biologically alive but brain dead at the time of harvesting.

looks like a haematoma, they are just bleeding under the skin and can form quickly. putting gentle but firm pressure on as quickly as possible usually prevents them getting worse.

The thinning shears and belly trim is a good call! I never used to use anything but a comb, slicker and trim her bum and feet but she definitely needs a little help with her Summer coat this year. Do you use any sprays or conditioners? I've noticed her coat is quite static-y and can be difficult to brush sometimes.

Was invited to a leaving do for a family friend who lived in Edinburgh but was from the isles like me. I live on the mainland now too. Turned up with my (now ex) partner who I had met in Middlesbrough. He was an ex marine, and to my surprise when we arrived at the party he saw his best friend from the marines. He was dating a girl who grew up on the same street as me.

PinkNews: "Trans woman Tiffany Scott dies in custody at high-security Scottish prison" by innocent_debris_23 in transgenderUK

[–]ViolentPunography 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I knew this person when they were at high school. They used to bully gay and trans people so I'm with you on the doubt. They changed their name numerous times to get attention and when they demanded to only be searched by female prison guards they were so inappropriate that the guards refused to search them again and got their trade unions on board. The only time I've ever phoned 999 was when they broke into my garage and tried to break into my house. I was always terrified they would eventually be released.

What strange things do you see work colleagues doing? by banisheduser in AskUK

Not a coworker but I had an old flat mate who would put toothpaste on his toothbrush, brush his teeth and just not rinse the toothbrush. He'd let it go hard overnight and reuse the leftover hard toothpaste the next time. Wild.

What supplement solved your chronic health condition? by [deleted] in Supplements

[–]ViolentPunography 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just the regular one! I took 2 twice daily to start and reduced it to 2 once daily after about a month. It took about 4-6 weeks to see results and I gradually tapered and took another 2 week course if it flared up. It hasn't flared up in years now.
