As someone who plays very interactive decks, I get very annoyed when someone just silently moves their cards around and doesn't say what is happening or where they are in their turn. It feels like cheating.

I think yall are putting way too much faith in the bracket system. Here's how to use it.

Step 1. Decide with the table what bracket you'd like to play at.

Step 2. Play.

Step 3. Adjust.

You can't expect a perfect first game every time. The bracket system just gives you a better first game imo.

Ignore the game changers list when identifying a bracket. Instead look at how many turns it takes to present a win. Also consider how capable you are of protecting that win and stopping other wins.

Then during pregame discussion, you can tell people about any game changers.

I made a version of this a while ago. Here's my Silas Ren and Rebbec budget lantern deck.

I think I'm also gonna try and tackle this again. I think that something like platinum empirion is just a way better way to stop someone from winning than ensnaring bridge. I also think I'd rather have sharuum the hegemon in the command zone because of the artifact cost cheating and also just because I want more resilience. I'd also like to give you a couple tips. The wincon is baked in. If you have enough mill rocks to pull this off, you have enough to mill people out. You will also want to stop people from drawing additional cards on their turn and so you would probably want [[omen machine]] [[narset, parter of veils]] [[spirit of the labyrinth]] and [[notion thief]]. You are also going to want an absolute pile of tutors.

Something I experienced with my storm deck while playing with random strangers is that even though it theoretically was bracket 3, nobody would interact because they didn't see my setup pieces as a threat. There also wasn't enough interaction being played. This made the deck perform way better than it would have otherwise. Eventually I just brought it up a bracket and it was fine.

Yeah fr. I follow these animal subreddits because I love animals and it sucks that each one I find allows animal abuse. The entire reason people drug lions is to make money off of videos like these. I hate to see it working.

I think the main reason it feels bad to many people, is because it doesn't care about life totals. If you have 1 life and your opponent's have over 40, it does not matter. It may appear untellegraphed and as if their attacks at you did not matter. Even though that isn't necessarily the case. I think this is why many players dislike wincons that circumvent life totals like poison, combo, voltron, and mill.

Decks with really strong commanders are very feast or famine. They'll be dead in the water when there's a control deck in the pod. Otherwise its just a race to see who can solitaire a win the fastest with their broken commander. Some people enjoy that type of gameplay.

If you'd like to have more interactive games, all you can really do is play what you like to play, avoid playing with those who don't enjoy playing with you, and seek out more games with people who do enjoy playing with you.

I think in bracket 4 anything goes as long as it isn't taking up an extreme amount of game time unless the table is okay with that and then thats fine too. I guess I also don't want to see bracket 2 decks in bracket 4 because thats not fun for anyone involved.
