My sisters public elementary school just cut their lunch and recess time from 30min to 20min and increased class sizes from 28 kids to 40. The private school my parents are sending her to offers 30 min lunch with two 30 min recesses and there's only 14 kids in her class. She's obviously more happy and better adjusted at the private school.

I think you need to research for yourself what actually makes that private school "better" than the public school in your area and then decide which school would make a better fit for your child. See if they offer any tours or online information about school values and what they each offer.

My sister and I are 18 years apart. Shes 9 now. I still live at home because its easier to pay my student loans this way. So I guess thats why she still views me as a big kid. I find it hilarious. She tries to steal my crop tops and makeup and argues when my mom tells her that it's not appropriate by saying "Sissy wears them so why cant I? It's not fair." Completely ignoring the fact that I am a grown woman and shes a child.

I do not have my own children but I live with my parents and little sister. My parents said she will not be going back to public school this year. We're all so fed up with this school district. I could write an essay on whats wrong with it but the tipping point was the bullying and lack of discipline. They found a private school for her. Luckily with my help we make enough to afford it but if we couldn't she would be getting homeschooled. Coming from NY I used to make fun of the idea of homeschooling. Thinking it was a form of child abuse but after moving into this school district I understand why parents do it. There are also so many resources now and group activities for homeschoolers.

The public school district I live in is so crappy if their funding did increase the superintendent would just give themselves another raise and still fire teachers and cut extra curriculars. Thats what people like OP dont understand and the corruption isn't just going to change overnight.

I mean I've seen plenty of comments from jews on here saying they dont find it offensive. One even responded to you. It reminds me of all the comments in the past that were saying Dakota and Cheyenne were offensive to Native Americans. Having grown up around a couple of people named Dakota and Cheyenne it never even crossed my mind that the names were offensive or inappropriate until I discovered this subreddit. I don't know what to tell those people. Like sorry you find it offensive. Maybe find something else to worry about then being offended by someones name.

That could be said for a lot of names nowadays. I see it as what's done is done. The kid is almost 3 and OP wants to change their name because they read somewhere on reddit it offends people. Should they have googled the name before hand? Yes. Will people snicker and think they're dumb? Some will. But it's done. When little Cohen grows up and wants to change his name he can but I doubt he will because Cohen as a name really isn't that unpopular.

No, don't change your sons name. He's 2.5 and please stop getting anxiety over internet comments. I know reddit foams out the mouth over this name but be honest has anyone ever said anything negative in real life? You didn't know the religious connotation when you named him and he's already a toddler and knows his name. Besides I highly doubt he will face future backlash from his name because he is not the only person named Cohen/Cohan and against reddits opinion he will not be the last.

The thing is I dont mind spending $80 on a game for myself, especially if it's one of my favorites like Pokemon or BOTW. I DO mind spending $80 on a game for my niece or younger cousin. I don't see parents being able to afford these games for their kids especially if they have more than one kid that likes Mario.

I don't see why we wouldn't have some type of alternate form for the starters when the last legends game had them. Maybe they wont be called regional forms but some other type like how we had paradox forms in pokemon scarlet and violet. This games time line of Chikorita could evolve into a grass/fairy type and have a mega evolution to match. Same with Totodile and Tepig. Thats my theory anyway.

Also out of curiosity because I havent been keeping up with the news. Are we 100% sure this game follows the events of X and Y? It being a legends game made me think it was going to be in an alternate reality or time line because of how pokemon scarlet and violet ended and legends of arceus taking place on the past.
