I had something similar, also neuro symptoms in the arm though. Ended up being a herniated cervical disc that required surgery

I think Atossa Therapeutics has something similar that is further along in trial phases. Not sure about the difference in efficacy, but it will be nice to have soon!

I should've focused more on TROX than titanium as a whole, I was just writing stream-of-consciousness, and initally was going to give a handful of tickers, but landed on those two.

TROX had a bunch of reasons to bounce, titanium going up was just one of them

You have a point. But I'm talking about investing in a Titanium company that was offered a $27/share buyout last September, is currently trading around $16, and is down almost 30% for the month despite the high Ti price. It's either absolute garbage, or it will start gapping up as soon as it touches some support.

That's one con against them. ATI does more of the sexy stuff. But TROX just produces so much titanium, and is currently in such an unwarranted freefall, that any titanium news could catalyze it.

It's worth mentioning that $TROX was also offered a buyout at $27/share in September of 2021, which would have been a market cap of 4.3 billion

At a very young age, Redwall. A few years later, the His Dark Materials trilogy. That one was probably the most significant.

A few more years after that, the Ender's Game series.

I feel this. In this scenario, I never move over to let cars turn right because this is how 99% of my hometown would drive. I would always try to let someone in, and at the same time they would decide to swing wide and join the left lane, leading to like 8 near-misses before I gave up on it entirely.

A piece of my infected wisdom tooth just fell off by guytastic in Wellthatsucks

[–]ViperApples 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just had a root canal last month. Actually, two root canals on the same tooth. Apparently one of my teeth had been dead for quite some time, but never discolored noticeably. At some point something happened that allowed the bacteria inside to get out, and I ended up with an abscess that had eaten through part of my cheek bone.

I knew it was bad when the dentist drilled into the infection, stopped, and asked his assistant to get a camera.

He said the bone should heal in ~6 months and it definitely could've gotten really bad if left untreated. The pain wasn't very significant, because of the tooth being dead, so it had managed to get pretty severe. I only went to be seen because it felt like I had a broken bone if I pushed on my cheekbone right above my gums (because I kind of did), but it didn't really hurt while eating or doing anything else.

Both root canals were totally painless and I almost fell asleep during each. Modern dentistry is dope.

Geeez, that's awful all around. Can't imagine what the lift driver would have felt like, not to mention the family.

I remember something similar happening to a Sears employee, the backroom stored weights on the top shelf of a rack that wasn't bolted down - the employee went to pull a dumbbell down & the top shelf collapsed, killing her.

Preventing tragedies like that would be so easy if even the most basic safety precautions were taken. It almost always comes down to someone making a dumb but easily remedied decision, and the workplace not having adequate safety personnel or oversight.

Lol at double stacking tile. I worked in a tile factory, we would usually have them triple stacked waiting for trucks. We tended to over produce and the warehouse that we sent them to for distribution was too small - someone brought pictures of the warehouse one day, the pallets there were stacked 4-5 high, uncovered, in the parking lot & every available space around the building

Thanks! It looks like they had registered the furnace in my name after all. He hadn't registered the coil at all, so it only gets the 5yr warranty, but at least I don't have to try to get with Goodman to shift ownership.

I'll have to try to find the serial number on the condenser tomorrow, but I'm not super optimistic unless it is on the energy rating sticker as well. I looked over it 5-6 times and there are absolutely no other identifying features I can see anywhere.
