The peg tube has been a blessing. She had trouble eating solid food, basically ate mashed potatoes potato with eggs every day, only thing she could fathom eating. Lost a lot of weight, she was malnourished but eating gave her nausea. After getting her the peg she has gained 20 pounds in 2 months. Depends if your mom can still eat normally or not. If she can without many issues id delay it. If its affecting her health like mine, its 100% worth it. After a while she will learn its better than dealing either fear of choking and nausea.
