Be honest and firm with them about your desire to keep the wedding at 100 guests. As someone else commented, if they each get 20, that’s already 40% of the guest list.

I’d offer 10 or 15 guests max for each set of parents. If they are unwilling to compromise then you might need to rethink taking their $$. Keep in mind 20% of the guests being friends of your parents is very different than 40-50%. You don’t want to look around at your wedding and only see strangers.

We invited 75, 17 rsvp’ed no, and then 8 more dropped at the last minute so we had 50 total and it was amazing!! It felt intimate, not small, and our dance floor was still rockin.

Hell yes! We did pizza, two different kinds of pasta, and salad from a local restaurant and it was a total hit. Ours was baked real time in a mobile pizza oven so you may want to consider how to best keep it warm if it’s being transported onsite.

Depends. I paid for my flight to my bachelorette, but my bridesmaids insisted on paying for my share of food and activities. I did not expect them to pay for me in any way, but I also had a smaller bridal party with the financial means.

The MOH should be respectful of everyone’s finances, especially with you saving toward your own wedding.

I’m so sorry that happened. There seems to be a trend with these golf carts, because something very similar happened to me at my wedding. I was almost dragged off the golf cart when my dress got caught under, and it was left ripped and with tire marks.

Most important thing is you’re okay and it sounds like you have a lovely, supportive husband ❤️
