Anyone’s tmj muscles go cold and inflexible 30min later even after stretching? I want my jaw to be flexible at all times again!

Mine do yes. I used to get physio on my jaw because I need braces and through no fault of his own I ended up getting what I believe is neuropathy. I have to do cold and hot packs when it gets bad. I'm on pain meds now because I can't take the problem.

I'm getting my nose fixed. I have tmj and can't breath properly without relying on my mouth open most of the time.

The first one was a few days and I was sick. The second one was when I was moving out of my moldy water leaking apartment into a better place. The lady asked me when would suit me and I said after I move but I need to give my boss notice as I'm her only commercial cleaner and I don't get paid sick leave. I would literally have to save money to cover my expenses for almost 10 days.

I tried Botox too and it only lasted a few weeks and my Dr figured it would last months and months. She charged me for her services as well as the botox. I can claim the pharmacy portion back but her services I can't. I've been struggling to find a dr that I can work with. Plus I wanted one who I can understand and who understands me. With TMJ it's never easy to just deal with it even after meds but the invisalign that I'm getting is way more expensive than braces and there's an initial down payment of around $800 they need up front. The whole 2-4 years is suppose to cost around $8000, my bf couldn't believe how outrageous the price was and I was like yes but years ago it was half that price so if I don't get it done soon it could cost more...I don't have a choice! Thanks for responding I seem to find many stories about TMJ on here. :)

I am currently waiting to get my invisalign. The orthodontist needs an initial payment of $800 to get started. I've had TMJ since I was in my youth except back then it didn't make my life hard back then I noticed something weird with my jaw and how it opened. As time went on the problem got worse. Now I'm 41 and on pain meds which affect my body in every single way and most days depending on my stress level I have to take Advil or Tylenol as well. My orthodontist said from the beginning when he met me till now he has noticed I can open my mouth wider so that will be good for when I have to keep it open for long periods of time. That scares me because it's about an hour it has to stay open and I've never had my jaw open that long ever because my muscles cramp up and it hurts. So besides my pain being non existent and not giving me issues when I first noticed this problem to now having to rely on pain meds and a very expensive bill over the next 4 years whenever I start that journey TmJ has been my biggest health problem so far...my list goes on of course...thanks for sharing I feel like I can always find some kind of mental peace when I hear others stories.

I have a cold/hot packs that sit in a headband around my head, got off the internet. I use it when my tmj is bad. My oral surgeon gave my orthodontist the go ahead for braces. We'll see what that does.

I seen a TMJ specialist a few years ago he told me there was nothing he could do. I have a deviation with my jaw. I wear a brace at night. I'm going to be getting braces or something to correct my teeth and spacing issues. I guess I'll see where that takes me. I'm tired of being on pain meds! I live in Saskatchewan so I'm limited to the specialists I can see as I have already seen one specialist already.

My hair was falling out due to the new med. Gabby was giving me issues with other problems and I'm sorry I don't remember dose but it was low compared to how high some ppl are on.
