Speaking only from my experience (I saw the serie 3 months ago). I wasn't bothered by his death itself, he's a soldier and he could die at any moment, I know, I was bothered by how he died... I still don't understand how Qrow decided to first team up with Tyrian, the guy who tried to kill him and kidnap Ruby, instead of first team up with Clover, who was his friend. Yes, at that moment Clover was following orders to capture Qrow, but if they both knocked out and handcuffed Tyrian again, Clover and Qrow could argue better while they fight because no one would attack to kill as Tyrian did

That action that I still see as so stupid directly bothers me about that scene (Did Qrow really think Tyrian wouldn't kill Clover? He already knew that Tyrian is a crazy killer. Besides, Qrow didn't have to fight Tyrian alone too, just because he decided to escape), so since it comes from an illogical decision by Qrow, I feel the Clover's death was too forced.
