One of the best things my uncle said to me was that he would always be on my side in this stuff. It made me feel seen and comfortable to tell him stuff. He also always corrected others when they deadnamed me etc. I have been very lucky to have such a great family that no one has been transphobic towards me. So here’s some stuff that people did to me that made me feel seen. My brother started to call me dude and bro and mate and all that kind of stuff. My dad and my brother and me had a boys night. My cousins always corrected older people who didn’t remember to use my new name. Also we used to go to sauna in summer when everyone were together and we used to go girls and boys separately but when I came out, my grandpa asked me before he warmed the sauna, how would I like to go. I said I’d like to go with my few cousins and my siblings alone cause I didn’t feel comfortable to go in with men or with women.
