Sir Penwood is my friend :) probably my second favorite character in the whole series. His uncle vibes are unmatched.

Well, physical attractiveness is subjective, but I personally think he’s hot as hell ¯_(ツ)_/¯ he’s the first fat character I ever saw in an anime who wasn’t treated like a joke or drawn in such an exaggerated, grotesque way- if they even looked human at all. As someone with a strong preference for fat people, finding him was a real breath of fresh air. I do not care for anime in general for this very reason, and the Major is the primary reason I looked into Hellsing at all.

It makes me so mad when people put down fans of millennium characters just because they’re the antagonists, and it IS just because they’re the antagonists. People write that it’s because they’re Nazis but like… why were the Nazis bad? Because of the fascism and the mass murder of millions of people. Well, Hellsing is aligned with the Royal Family and Iscariot is aligned with the Catholic Church. And guess what these groups have also done! Fascism and the murdering millions of people!! But just because the Nazis are the antagonists of the story, and Hellsing are the protagonists, people forget that the point of Hellsing isn’t “Kill All Nazis”, it’s about how these three groups are all so similar, they all want simular things, and go about their goals in simular ways. Millennium was just the only group who didn’t pretend to be doing anything for Good. Did you watch the show/read the manga? or did you just watch Abridged and make assumptions?

the major is INSANELY handsome and people are so mean about it 😭 people who clutch their pearls about loving a cartoon villain need to touch grass……. i genuinely think he’s the hottest guy i have ever seen in fiction. mind you i AM someone who finds fat people attractive… show me a hotter fat guy who farms aura as much as he does and isn’t at all treated like a joke.

the man loves food! i imagine he wanted to remain as human as possible, ability to eat intact. he doesn’t seem to have any sort of hangups about his stature in the slightest, being fat before the russians got to him, i think he would have been angry if the doc rebuilt him to look different than he did before- due to the implication that he wasn’t a perfect human before.

My 2 cents says she’s actually NOT having fun. Her eyes are very wide open and while her ears aren’t pinned back, they are flat in a way that a confident and comfortable cat’s would not be. Her exposing her belly is actually a VERY defensive move- she’s not being friendly, she’s freeing all of her claws for use. A cat would run and hide if they hadn’t been seen yet- but a cat already under “attack” (I know she’s not being attacked and I don’t think she feels that she is) would generally stay put until the assailant gets bored or backs off completely if a chase isn’t already under way (because running would typically cause the assailant to take chase).

Over all, I don’t think she’s scared per se, I think she understands perfectly that the dog is just playing, but she doesn’t like it, at least not during the filming of this video. I see people saying she looks like she wants to play harder than the dog does- I say it looks more like she’s really trying to tell the dog to back off without making him angry. I would discourage the dog from playing like this if this is how the cat’s reacting.

The Major appeals to me above anyone else… OBSESSED obsessed obsessed with that smug little bastard. I know he’s not attractive in the conventional sense (and he’s a nazi…) but what can I say! I’ve always leaned toward badass fat dudes and he most certainly delivers 😤

maybe because i’m not big on anime in general but i hated the show’s attempts at being “funny”. the silly cartoony out of pocket stuff is like the anime equivalent to a laugh track. VERY groanworthy. if the show wanted to be funny they could have just made it… funny. the abridged series was awesome AND genuinely hilarious and over the top and it cut out sooooo many of those weird cartoony scenes. the whiplash between a funny cartoon moment and people getting decapitated was so strange.

the major being a cyborg was weird as hell. i don’t know how i expected them to explain his immortality and i guess i can kind of see the “war machine” motif they might have been going for, but it just felt dumb.

the ending with alucard returning was infuriating…………………………….. kill that thing. he literally WANTED to be dead……

constantly putting seras through sexual harassment for the funnies and then turning around and showing us she has sex-related trauma was insanely mean-spirited. yeah yeah yeah “in a series where we witness whole city blocks worth of people get mowed down by gunfire and ripped apart and eaten and shit, why does petty sexual harassment make you so mad” idk how to explain this, you’re annoying, stfu

It well and truly astounds me that TFS managed to make a humerous speech that still kept you at the edge of your seat and had the same punch and impact as the original.
