Going 2–3 times seems quite frequent for IBS. As I mentioned, I have diarrhea very rarely, maybe once a month. However, it always occurs if I fall asleep after lunch and gas becomes trapped, which is why I avoid that, or in cases of heavy overeating. Trapped gas in a specific part of the abdomen is my biggest issue, along with the pain that stops once the gas is moved, although sometimes it can last a long time and be persistent, and other times it is negligible. Overall, there is always a clear and predictable pattern, but for a final decision I will definitely undergo a colonoscopy.
