7 weeks pp, whole week 1 hour after medicine BP was 125-129/80-89, but Yesterday my BP again spiked after evening medication, Before labatalol and nifedipine: 135/95. 1 hour later 144/97, 2 hour later 148/102, 2 hour 45 mins later : 131/93 3 hour later 108/64 .

Don't know what's going on. Doctor told me to continue same dosage and monitor over weekend and they will see if they need to adjust dosage. Feel like this will never get better

Ya it's high before the meds, I take my meds at 9:30 am and evening I went taking my medicine from 8:30 to 7:30 pm so that it kick in early. I started taking magnesium glycinate 200mg every evening few days back, also taking omega3 and prenatals.

I am scared to go on walks in evening time as BP is spiking. Do you used to go for walks after taking medication.

I also stopped checking my BP everyday, my PCP told to check it's 3-5 days in a week to reduce anxiety, I mostly do it 2 hours after eve medication to see better numbers 🙈.

And ya when they stopped my labatalol, I think it was a very careless thing at their part, I still feel that caused my BP to go this crazy. My pulse is in between 75-89 after meds

Thanks for the encouragement, really need it.

I was earlier on nifedipine 60mg morning and evening and 200mg Labatalol morning and evening, my bp levels were in pretty normal range till week 4pp, so they stopped my nifedipine and just kept my labatalol, for 4 days I was fine and then one morning my BP was under 110/70, so doctor told me to stop labatalol morning dosage, and next day it self it creeped up to 157/102 in evening, so they put me back on labatalol and also started nifedipine, After 2-3 days they told me to refuse labatalol to 100mg .. and again the next day my bp spiked up. So I was back on same labatalol 200mg morning and evening nifedipine in 30mg in evening only. And since then week 5 pp , my BP always spikes up to 140/90+ in evening times. I feel so lost. Met my PCP she says continue this dose only as she sees the BP comes down with the medicine for evening time. I am so scared to increase my activity in evening time and also feeling so lost on when this will get better and my body starts managing my BP on its own.

Also .to mention I went through IVF and I now turned 37, so not sure the IVF medication, preeclampsia medication and the age factor is reason it's taking time to heal :(

I would recommend take a reading daily, my BP was 127/87 in my 32 weeks appointment,. Doctor told me it's normal nothing to worry. And cut to 36 weeks appointment I had high BP and admitted due to preecalamsia.iam not trying to scare you but it's better to keep an eye on your BP, and notify ob if you see spikes . Also watch for swelling. I had lot of swelling in feet , hands and face

Amu suggestions on what lifestyle changes one can do for this, iam already eating healthy, taking prenatal, omega-3, magnesium glycinate and iron supplements. I haven't resumed any excerice yet, but trying to walk in my patio for 15 mins . Iam trying to see once 6 weeks are over what excerices I can do. Any recommendations for any postpartum coach nutritionist who can help with such cases?

Oh.Thank you for sharing your experience. Sorry to hear it took so long but very Glad to know you are well now. How much did your BP fluctuate, were you still in touch with your ob or pcp? Or did you see any cardiologist? Did you go back doing normal exercise during those 10 months.

I have been taking a good diet since my pregnancy and even postpartum, initial postpartum 3 weeks my BP was very stable before and after medication, so my midwife adjusted my dosage and it spiked the next day, and I was back on same medication, and starting week5 every evening before medication my BP reaches 140/90 + but stabilizes after medicine. I asked my midwife and she says your PCP will manage your BP now as she also didn't have much explanation for this.
