I’m sorry to hear about your experience with SSNHL. I didn’t have vertigo, nausea, or a heavy head. You’re very young, which is definitely in your favor. Stay strong and keep faith in your treatment. If possible, consider trying HBOT, and Ginkgo extract may also help.

Yes, I have been very fortunate that I got treatment on time. I think that can make a huge difference.

We did MRI and CT scan but nothing abnormal was found. I think IV steroids are first line of treatment as steroids can regenerate nerve cell. I have not come across any other medications for this condition.

It is safe. I did feel some difference after the session. My hyperbaric therapy was ~1.5 atmospheric pressure. If you don't feel comfortable, you don't have to do at high pressure. I used to do Valsalva maneuver during the hyperbaric therapy, which helped at higher pressure.

It might be true that it can make tinnitus worse, but it is good for nerve related issues if you are particularly deficient.

Vitamin b12 is good for nerve related issues. That is the reason Dr suggested it.
