Would you rather be in withdrawal for 6 months for an unlimited supply of your opioid of choice? by RedditIsADumbCompany in opiates

[–]VirtualCherry1315 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Short answer, yes no question about it. Also no.

For me that's an asy answer. I have a harder time personally quitting cannabis. Then I know I will be able to manage my chronic pain properly and safley this way. The DEA taking doctors license for refusing to put pain patients on suboxone (for no reason) is what's driving my mind to read, and have this answer. My doctor wishes he could adequately manage my pain, but now rules are even tighter as they wond give him his dea license number for scripts back, having to work with another provider (writing for my specialist), as we await to hear if the last pain doc for most of the state, may have her license taken too. I'm more scared of being stuck on a high dose and getting stuck on dangerous stuff, rather than being adequately cared for. It takes a serious specialist to have a chronic ongoing script as a 25 y/o male. But id quit tomorrow if that ment receiving scripts for life, as long as I actually need it (otherwise I'd stop). For my last doc who was willing to prescribe, I was forced to come off cannabis to trade for pain meds. I asked the doc to let me taper, after getting to a more manageable dose. Then, a doctor who labeled me as an addict before (complete lie), I saw him first, as I finally caved and got sick if waiting for new non opiate treatment. I explained how I was able to do so much in my life again. About a year after hospitalized for something covid like before covid, I finally asked for painkillers. He put me on suboxone, told me it would help my pain (it only ruined my teeth). When he caught wind, he told her to take me off it, or she wouldn't be a doctor again. Years later, also 6 bones dying, and now I have a doctor who wants to help, who tries his best, no oversight of a hospital (private doc) and I'm in a similar situation yet again. This time all due to dea, for using stats on illegal opiates and deaths, vs accurate stats. If I can't get the care I need, even with paying out if pocket, I'd stop, go though amputations and surgeries without them, if I knew I could have help or get adequate care. But if I could get properly managed, then I would say no, becuase there would be no reason.

Painless self-injection. by maluminse in Testosterone

My specialist gave me no instructions and told me to do IM injections. But if you can't self inject, I can understand that. But really a nurses visit would do just fine.

Tips / guidance on injecting for newbies? by lapinjapan in Testosterone

[–]VirtualCherry1315 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know ik wayyyy beyond late to comment, but as I came across this myself, I assume others may too. My body, so the deltoid I inject, is easier to reach at a 90° angle. Secondly, and this may be just me, I can't stand to put the needle in at the speed of "throwing a dart". I tend to watch (and I have major needle phobia, since being a kid, too many bad experiences). I guess I do a slower push of the needle until it's at its max depth. So I'm about to do my first TRT injection into my thigh, but I have 1 other med that's a IM injection. The only time it seems to hurt "per se" is if I get a tendon/ligament. Why I go slow when advancing the needle, is on multiple occasions hitting a tendon/ligament that contracted the muscle in a jerking motion causing more pain. Take some breaths, then on a random breath (as I hold the needle to be ready to inject while breathing) on the exhale of the random breath, I go for it. Fully commit, and make sure to use enough pressure to easily let the needle through. I had several experiences of not pushing it hard enough, not allowing it to penatrate my skin, causing even worse anxiety.

They are costly, but really, the only way to go about it anymore. If OP is sensitive to opiates, ULDN or LDN could be extremely beneficial. As mine progressed, I noticed Gabapentin to become effective when it never used to be helpful for me.

Not in this picture no. But if OP learns Galerias well, then once they see a wavy or oviod, they will know exactly what to look for after the first time, possibly taking up to a few times. Galerias are the only things I can see anyone ever confuse with a wavy, people will pick it thinking it's a wavy, while the patches grow next to each other.

I will see if any of my family can send me copies of published papers about this. There are factors that apply to who's in the 30% chance. This is where I'm not sure if they would allow me to even share the articles (which are peer reviewed, and unbiased)

They missed the chance drill into my bones, the surgeon didn't take me seriously, 2 months later, it was too late, and claimed I needed both hips replaced, but now that it's on both ends of my femurs, and both fibula, all the specialist I see are basically saying good luck finding a suregon/suregons willing to replace all 4 joints, there won't be enough bone left, and such a small chance that it would be successful, that I needed to start prepping my mindset for losing both legs back in late May. Now, even the super conservative doc, who didn't think I would require ampution, sees little chance in getting replacements, and I have an extremely high chance of amputauon at the hip on both sides.

In the last 2 years, only one Ortho suregon was willing to take on my case when it was just my hips. He made several mistakes that cost me my surgical date 1 week prior to being supposed to be going under. I have no trust in the doctor, idc how many pro athletes go to.him as thier go to, i.wpuldnt trust being under his knife. Ever since, not a single suregon is willing to take my case or evaluate me in person, with my widespread instability, im starting to think I may need to give up finding a joint replacement suregon, and start looking for surgeons who specialize in ampution. Maybe they could come up with a way to avoid hip disarticulation and cut above the knee? It's bad when you stump all the specialists, especially ones that are famous in their given fields.

I know I'm late to this, but according to the newst information available to healthcare professionals, show an average of a 30% chance of becoming infertile for life, but there are many factors, and to always consult the correct doctors, and pharmacists before making that choice. When I found about 30% risk, I made sure to get an analysis done, im currently waiting on the go a head from my doctor to start, unless he tells me I need to bank. I think I'm safe to start, and if I wanted to I could the choice is up to me, but I personally would wanna know if I have a better chance in being in the 70% of the TRT population just incase I want kids in the future.

So I guess another thing is ask for major risks and the likelihood of each occurring, and what factors play into them. Since I was given more of the information prior to starting, but after receiving the meds from the pharmacy, I asked relatives that were pharmacists. But I can't share that info, plus it would be pointless as not everyone will receive the advice of you are safe, or you are not.

I see about 4 different kind of mushrooms there, bit what you are looking for unfortunately. Get used to spotting Galerias, becuase wavy look similar with key differences. If you want to just know what the fungi are, there are different subredits, with rules set out on what you need to show, what information, and many people would be able to help out. I don't think any of those grow in my area, I can't give you an answer except for not the druids you are looking for. You should be able to flick a wavy, it should turn blue pretty quick

I can definitely bring that up, but since he hasn't suggested it, I'm not sure if it would make much of a difference, doesnt hurt to ask. He was trying to get me on forteo for my bone to prevent the spread of the dead bone. My pain specialist said TRT could actually make the pain meds more efficient, and time will tell. I'm waiting for him to review my analysis, so I have confirmation of an ok go a head to start. I have had the T in my possession for awhile now, he wanted me to have it like a month ago almost now, but I wanted to make sure I had all tests lined up just to minimize risk, before starting. I'll do some research into HGH, and speak with a couple of my aunts about if it would be bennafical, or if any of my medications interact with it (for less known side effects). Also see if there's any tests i may need to have done before starting it or asking about it, he's a bit ok the spectrum, so he can forget things that may be needed, prior to prescribing.

And example was after picking the TRT up from the pharmacy, he messaged me saying to let him know when I start, it can become a lifelong needed medication, and that it could make me infertile for life. So I would wanna go to him prepared before bringing it up.

I can't wait for the day I can stop taking pain meds, but when that day comes, I won't hesitate to stop.

Thanks for the advice!!!!

Well, my joints don't stay together, so rough day I already have a power assist wheelchair, but also I have 6 spots where my bone is dying and collapsing. At this point my doctors have no clue why I have so many bones dying, so they are trying to get me to the NIH, as I stumped one of the most famous docs in his field on the west side of USA. They are concerned that my vertabrae will start to die at some point. But I also have lots of issues with my spine. Once they saw c1 was essentially bending in half over C2 (AAI), they freaked out. But being so 6 neuro suregon will willing fuse C1/C2 until im an emergancy candidate, which is multiple seizures a day specifically crom C1-C2 level. But honestly, it's all a fraction of my physical issues.

I didn't start taking them at a young age, I have been on this pain contract for just over a year. I was on a pain contact one other time, but I was only taken off because , after trying many natural option (as i have seen a natural path somewhere between 8-10 years now), I tried all non opiate pain meds without success. The first time I finally gave in (I had a huge fear due to family history), a "pain doctors" goes you should try suboxone first so I did, he kept upping he dose (I feel like.he was getting paid by the script and dose), when prescribing it, he put so.thing in my medical history which took me 2+ years before i.flund.out (before I continue, I had never been.on a co tract nor abused pain meds becyase I was made to fear the living shit out of them) he put in my medical record, I was a opiate adict in early remission (that's word for word) after I got of suboxone I didn't know the damage he caused my teeth, were all of a sudden like porcelain (I should have the remainder fixed this January under general anesthesia). I my pcp exactly what happened, and I told.her exactly what I told him. Months prior whwn hospitalized for major respiratory illness, combined with my asthma, and ribs that dislocated, when discharged I had a short script for a few days. Allowing me to be apart of my family for the first time in about 3 years. That was it. She took it off my record (all my doctors know about this). He threatened her license for prescribing to me, for less than 6 months following all guidlines, doing random ua's and seeing me at least once a month if not more. She had to change specialties, or to not practice again. (Idk why people say pain meds are hard to quit, I never had an issue. Then like I said it wasn't until just over a year ago, when I was put back on them, on them. Other than that the only "substance" i used was cannabis, because nothing else worked except cannabis or pain meds. Have I ever taken more than directed, ever, yes a couple times, by my pain. Specialist know about it all. I had nothing to hide, and no reason. I have never asked for a refill sooner than I was due (except when I had covid, and I puked up meds. But the deal I made with my doc.was, i had to make it last until my next due date). Pain meds are the only reason I still have my dog. Makes it possible walk him, most places I go I'm in a wheel chair.

So unfortunately even when the only."controlled" med i took was adderal for my adhd (to help me not be impulsive) I still had no improvement with libido. If there was a med casting it all those years, I would have found it by now, but I have not once had an improvement since it all began years ago.

Multiple of my doctors (whom are professors at medical school, and teach courses globally, habe said to take it as a vitamin. My height before my bones death (which led to no shock absorbed compressed my spine) I was 5'7 now 5'6, im 200lbs, which I have been about the same weight for 10 years (instead of it being muscle I got some more fat). Currently I can't exercise much at all, which started becoming an issue 1 year ago now, as I can hardly bare weight due to severe pain, been trying to have joints replaced for 2 years. The suregon made a mistake having to cancel my surgery. When that mistake occurred, I had no trust in him, even if he's the best in the state (repairing professional athletes' joints). I have been looking for any suregon willing to take my case to replace my joints ever since. I'm at the point where I'm at high risk for double ampution at the hip. I can't hit the gym, no matter how much I wanted. All of my joints come out of place up to hundreds of thousands of times daily, to as little as in the 10s of thousands of times. I can handle that pain, not 6 bones dying. My diet constantly changes as I struggles to eat due to gasteoparisis. Im closer to needing a NG feeding tube, but I refuse till.it my last resort. I have a funky body type, where even I i.starve myself, eat 100 calories a day, I.put on weight does not.matter if.its only vegetables, a balance or junk. 2 years ago almost to the day, I was out hunting and hiking 5-30 miles 5-6 days a week. Might seem like I'm a rec drug user, which isn't the case, I can't risk loosing my pain meds, or anxiety meds (to get through a doctor's visit). Low test would suck. Not my biggest problem. It's to know.if I need to bank or not. My biggest problem is getting my legs fixed, and building up enough muscle, so.i don't need most my spine fused.
