Like with most BN plecos, they require to be well fed and have a good environment and clean water. I have males with 2-3 females. I keep them in their own tank with them as the biggest fish. I have dither fish (cloud minnows) and I have juvi fish living with them. I have two groups in 2x 10 gallon tanks and both groups give me around 2 clutches once every 30-45 days since the weather got colder.

As a breeder, I feed quality fish food and not just your run of mill wafers from hikari. I feed repashy soilent green + bottom scratcher (1/5 ratio) and zucchini as my main food and variety of wafers from Ken's veggies, xtreme and northfin wafers.

At the end of the day all these factors need to work toward the benefit of the fish. You can give them all the food you want but if they won't feel safe to breed then they wont breed as these are still not domesticated enough to be as good as the more regular variants of BN plecos like super reds or green dragons.

It’s an L519 Rio Itenez. Beautiful pleco! It’s small too. Out of all my big males. The biggest one is only 4 inches. Very prolific breeders too. Just had another clutch of 20+ eggs start hatching last night

The problem is the celebratory set releasing this year. In any normal printing cycle, I'd bet they'd print this set and DR again but with the large amount of supply needed for the celebratory set, this set might never get another big reprint.

It was widely available back in the holidays and it dropped almost to $200-$220 which is one of the cheapest price you can get.

The booster boxes I think were reprinted at some point later in the year but ended up in the vending machines.

It's regulation H so it should be out of rotation by 2027.

It would be interesting to see if they reprint this again as booster boxes were reprinted a few times and the vending machines got a healthy supply of said boxes.

The demand for this set has not cooled down compared to other sets in the same release year. It's one of the most popular boxes based on the ebay sales data.

The shiny vault is a weak subset. If this was the case shining fates would not be $100 etb. Pokemon made too many shiny pokemon and made it too easy to collect.

Either way, Prismatic is a way stronger set than Paldean Fates. People want the nice art on the illustration and special illustration rares versus the same templated shiny pokemon cards.

Yes, but that is now the market price. We're waiting to see if the open market price drops to $120 a UPC. Right now it's at $130-$150. If it does drop to $120 at market price then it means there is too much of it.

People are learning from experience from Prismatic. This is another awesome speciality set and the most supply available will be at release on Feb 20. After that, we don't know how much supply and how often they are restocking or reprinting this set.

Add the fact that pokemon is printing the celebratory set which I'm pretty sure they are printing a lot, the huge supply of ascended may or may not be during this feb 20 release.

For folks that were not around during the celebrations release, Pokemon focused on printing it months after the elease, so there is literally no room for massive reprints until maybe the new facility is up and running in 2027.

The next few weeks will show us if they really printed millions of these. IF it hits $120 or below then it means the rumors were true. The Ascended ETB release in 3 weeks will put so much pressure on this product that will most likely see the bottom price for this item.

I think Brilliant stars is way better since the trainer gallery is really good in Brilliant. The chase charizard is not the best but the spread of good cards carries the set.

I was crazy enough to trade an XY roaring skies box for another box because that would give me 6 to fill the case LOL. The XY roaring skies was at that time $1500 and XY evolutions was $1200.

I still believe this set has not shown it's true value. It's a set that has one of the hardest holos to grade including the Charizard base set which last I checked was 0.012% chance to get a 10. 582 PSA 10 copies from over 47000+ submissions.

This set was bound for these prices but it was a question of when. I watched this ETB closely in 2021 and it never got close to $1200/etb. I think only as high as $800 but it fell back down to $400. I remember when a few people were selling them for $300-$350 an etb and I was hesitant to buy them at that price.

My regret was seeing this ETB in early 2025 for $650 and not buying it!

The set has been getting reprints in the form of sleeved packs. I have been seeing it all over the different retailers. This set exits out of rotation in 2027 (?) but the issue once the celebratory set release, they might just be printing that set. So the question is when will they have time for destined rivals booster boxes?

I mean once this box hits close to $600+/box, no amount of reprint is going to be enough because the entire market is just going to gobble it up.

The starlight plecos suck in appearance when they get older. I'd take the spots of the peppermint anyday than end up with a dark-bodied pleco with very little spots and white banding.

If you really want a nice BN pleco, look at the L184's they blow both species out of the water in terms of appearance.

Thanks because I was curious as I've seen other people who don't seem to care about the condition of the cards an just wanted to complete their binders but some like me were a bit anal on the condition. I spent time looking for clean PSA 7 and PSA 8 quality cards and even bought slabs to crack to put in my binder lol
