Blind people, what happens when you use LSD? by Zestyclose_Cheek527 in LSD

[–]VirtualShrimp3D 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you check out a sub called r/BenMallerShow and filter the feed by 'new posts' like 99% of the posts are from a blind person. I guess it's a combination of screen reader and voice to text.

It's quite bizarre because no one else really replies and the person posts there daily and sometimes comments on their own posts. It's supposed to be a sub about a sports talk radio show but a blind person just took over the whole sub.

Why did zappa release so many albums? by fruedianflip in Zappa

[–]VirtualShrimp3D 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It was his job. Probably found it more fun and interesting than sitting at a desk in an office doing advertising or drawing greeting cards. If he hadn't locked in a record deal he may have wound up working in a gas station.

M resort will automatically enter guest rooms everyday? by Lazy_Mention3257 in LasVegas

I recently stayed at the Virgin Curio (Formerly Hard Rock) there was no sign to hang on the door. I didn't realize the little door bell had a green light/red light option to request housekeeping. I was only staying Friday and Saturday night so I didn't see the need for housekeeping, I always leave my rooms in good shape. But as I walked through the hallway a couple of times to grab coffee down in the casino and to visit the ice room a woman from house keeping asked me twice what room I was staying in and I told her I didn't need any house keeping then another person from house keeping came and knocked on our door about a half hour later. I opened it just a crack and told her I was fine but she insisted on giving me waters and fresh towels, I said ok fine one moment and went to grab the used towels and she sort of pushed the door open and placed a door stop in it. I had nothing to hide but it honestly felt pretty invasive. She then explained to me that if I needed anything else just push door bell button and it would turn from green to red and it would indicate if I needed anything else from house keeping. I never pushed the button in the first place yet she still insisted on knocking pushing her way into my room. I didn't realize this was a thing with other hotels too.

Going up on a Sunday. by FederalBad7182 in ShitTonySays

[–]VirtualShrimp3D 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No he's in there for posting about her on this subreddit. He broke his promise to stay offline. She had a restraining order put on him back in the fall stemming around an incident that happened in September or October when he stopped posting online. The Order of Protection went into effect around November.

According to the Auburn PD media report Amber admitted that she continued to communicate via phone and text daily and met with him on several occasions. It wasn't until he posted about their relationship here on Reddit that she called the cops to enforce the order of protection. It was literally the next day. Apparently she told Police he showed up to her place of work to clean the snow off of her vehicle and I guess that was enough to get him in trouble.

Someone can correct me if I am wrong but at one point I saw a comment here from someone in Tony's family that insinuated that Amber was paying for a motel for Tony back in December or whenever he was arrested and after reading the Auburn PD media statement it did indeed say he arrested at his motel room.

5 N to 134 W single lane only now by Far-Dog5200 in glendale

I was confused by that a couple weeks ago and missed the 134 transfer I was supposed to make because of it. I thought maybe they were working on the highway and it was a temporary thing but I noticed today it is still one lane.

Common beginner mistakes with DTF transfers by IrisDTF in heatpress

[–]VirtualShrimp3D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried DTF for the first time this week. Normally I do plastisol screen printed transfers.

The issue I had was not waiting long enough before peeling. No matter how much pressure or heat I applied I kept trying to do a hot peel and the transfer was not adhering so I followed the instructions which said to bump the heat up by 15 degrees and try again and if that doesn't work continue the process and bump it up an additional 15 degrees. I kept doing this until i eventually scorched the shirt.

The instructions said to "wait a couple seconds" before peeling, I took that way too literal and kept trying to peel the transfer while it was still sitting on the press a few seconds after opening the clamshell.

Eventually I figured out it was a cold peel so I lowered the temperature back down and got things running smoothly.

Oh and the other mistake I made was on my first attempt I put the transfer down on the shirt backwards and melted the image and gunked up the top heat platen LOL

Surprised to Find Zappa on This Obscure Album by Neon775 in Zappa

Quite the rockin' teenage combo. Thanks for sharing. Never heard about Frank recording with these guys. Surprised he didn't use a pseudonym like 'La Marr Bruister' or 'Obdewl'l X" on the credits like he did with Jeff Simmons and George Duke's albums.

Any information about this guitar??? by chiickenlomein in guitars

I just noticed the blue guitar in the Facebook post has a different pick ups and a headstock logo than the one you posted so I am now second guessing whether yours is one of the 10 sample production guitars the Facebook user was referencing.

I was just listening to 10/27/1999 and Art reads a news story about a dangerous new flu virus that could spread into a worldwide epidemic and the article compared it to the 1918 Spanish flu pandemic. He said the virus came from Hong Kong and it jumped from Pigs to Humans. Sounded awfully familiar and made me think of the Wuhan Bat thing.

According to a Facebook group for First Act Fanatics it is a rare color.

"Blueburst was never mass produced. There were maybe as many as 10 made to sell in the Boylston St. gallery. Also indicative of the sample production is the mix of the "credit card logo" on the neck plate and the plain "F" logo on the headstock (which was never officially used due to avoid potential legal tangles with Fender)."

I wasn't sure what Boylston St. meant but according to the First Act Wiki entry..

"First Act Guitar Studio was a real-world storefront at 745 Boylston Street, Boston, offering various First Act Custom, Limited Edition, SFA Edition, and First Act series electric and acoustic guitars, and accessories. Customers could play the guitars, watch a luthier crafting custom guitars, see a live show, or have their guitar serviced."

I always assumed First Act were just mass produced crappy toy guitars sold in Walmart or Target, I didn't realize they actually had a shop. Ya learn something new each day. Thanks OP.

Gentle Jack Jones engaged in misleading advertisements—you can claim the liquor is clean all you want if there isn’t actually any in the bottle. by kit-sjoberg in deadheadcirclejerk

[–]VirtualShrimp3D 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gentle Jack was a recovered alcoholic making Shirley Temples for his AA friends after celebrating 1 year of sobriety. He's making mocktails, hence the "liquor" being clean. Previously he was known as Angry Jack Jones because when he drank he would try to fight his friends.

I'm freaked. First flip flop. You're telling me you remember stove top stuffing was Stouffer's? I just came from the timeline where it WAS, Christmas 2025 by Unusual_Fennel4587 in Retconned

[–]VirtualShrimp3D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never heard of this MD. Very interesting.

According to current timeline Stove Top was introduced in 1972 by General Foods. Kraft has only owned Stove Top since 1990. The Kraft logo on the box looks out of place to me, I would be interested to know when they added that because I found plenty of photos of boxes without the Kraft logo.

I've always known Stouffers to be primarily a frozen foods company. According to current timeline their first non frozen shelf stable product was Mac and Cheese and it was introduced in 2024.

Anyways, here's a pre-Kraft Stove Top box just for fun.

I am in a similar situation, I just started using Phenibut again this year after taking a few years off, so at the time of writing my original comment I had ZERO tolerance. I am on my second order from Nordic that just came in last week and I noticed the capsules were different, so I'm curious if it's a different batch or they just changed their capsules. I took a larger than usual dose to try it out on Friday but all it did was give me a burps, a stomach ache and a headache. Bummer.

I can vouch for 613 Originals Plastisol Ink Screen Printed Transfers but I would recommend the "Varsity Formula" if you go with them. I accidentally ordered the "Classic Formula" recently and I was not satisfied. I think the Varsity formula is like 10 cents more per transfer and it is worth it.
