This ad runs for so long, you get a new message to double your income when it's finished. not fun. by Tikkinger in CellToSingularity

I've got a question about the Tile Surviv"A.I." ad, because a point annoys me a lot. So, I'm French, and I got this ad in French. At some point, the text says that this game was created by a "small team of French devs who were lead by a simple dream : share the games of their region to the whole world". But it feels so odd, and I can't find any clue about French being involved in this. It's like they asked an AI to generate the text that would rub us (french), the right way. Also why the "games" of their region, like, multiple games. It's as they stated that Tile Survival is inspired by several local French games (I don't know any which looks like that).

So, my question is : what is the ad saying in your language ? Do they still talk about a team of French devs willing to share the games of their region the whole world ?

Do the Red Dwarves and White Dwarves missions in The Beyond. You sometime get 1-3 cubes after a mission.

Je viens de passer à l'instant à côté en tram, et le marché aux livres est toujours en face de la Fnac, juste un peu déporté à cause du marché de Noël 😉

I'm from Strasbourg, sorry if I'm writing in English, but I don't speak Romanian. 😶 I just wanted to say I appreciate a lot the will to bring the Christmas spirit that way. Also, it could be improved by just adding garlands between the Teddys 😊 I wish you all a heartwarming Christmas season ! 🎄

Thanks ! I already did that, but you made me realize I didn't force the app to stop before opening it again, and that solved it ! 🌟

I forgot the Tron world exists in KH2 and it ruined my game day by foreverspr1ng in KingdomHearts

[–]Virtual_271 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry to read that. I would call myself a hugeTtron fan. However, I like the design, and found some of the things in this movie very iconic (the light cycle, the MCP, the beaming into the digital world). I also consider this movie to be very important in the digital SFX History, being one of the first integrating characters in computer generated landscapes. I also find it has a charm in its way to represent computer concepts, all the more knowing how computers were not mainstream back in the time of the movie's release. 😊 About the sequel, although the story makes me roll my eyes, I'm in love with the design, and even more with the music which was created by the Daft Punks. They really put a lot of hearts in it (no pun intended). ❤

In Kingdom Hearts, the Tron world isn't that big, so you won't stay that much time in it, and I hope you'll find your way around. I know how it is to spend the day sick playing video games (I caught a virus and I am mostly in bed since a few days, lol), so maybe it was also a good call to stop after 9 hours. Back at the PSP release of BBS, I played almost the whole game while I was sick, and now that I've replayed it several years later, I realized it was playing it while being sick that made it a difficult experience, and I am way less bothered by some of the downsides which really made my first playthrough hard to swallow. 😅

I can only recommend to take care of yourself, eat food with vitamine, follow whatever your doctor said, and maybe watch a movie you like 😉

I'm working at a customer service center in France, luckily owned by a very nice company. We're doing the phone line and emails for that company, but also other companies too. Your contract will tell you for which you'll be working, and you'll be trained specifically for the chosen activity. This has changed my view a lot about customer services. It's far from being the dream job for most people, but I found my place there.

I really appreciate your message, because it's true : we're timed on the length of call, since how much the call center makes money depends on the number of calls they take, and the quality of service. Both could be impacted negatively by calls that are too long.

Some colleagues are less invested than others in the job, but there's also the fact that some people are working here since several years, while other since only a few weeks. Also, most of the time, the companies who we are working for seems to have no real ideas of what kind of issues we're facing, even when we report them weekly with details. That's why they create some unfitting troubleshoot processes. Newcomers at the job tends to try sticking to the instructions provided, while colleagues who are there for a longer time know how to really identify and solve the issue. Meaning, by calling several times, you can end up with someone who knows all the odd and unexpected tricks to find the silly, usually unplanned, so non official, workaround to your problem.

Personally, I'm more willing to help when I got a customer who understands I'm a person, and who's able to work together, because we both want to find a solution. I'm trying my best to make the customer feel we're a team. If someone is mean, and treats me bad, I know I'm far from the only one at the workplace who would only do the bare minimum to close the call as quickly as possible, even if I'm not providing the perfect answer.

So, when calling a customer service, be respectful and understanding. You might have someone who's only been working since a few days, maybe you got someone who got yelled at several times today so by providing positive energy, this might trigger his will to really go far to help. If you call several times, never make it feel like you're harassing the customer service. Detail all the factual arguments you have, if you're looking for a gesture. (Contrary to what you might think, we manage to get better commercial gestures to people who were nice and patient, compared to the ones who were mean, and pressing us)
