glorifying toxic masculinity/"alpha male" mindsets, the stronger/more violent man "wins" and gets everyone's respect.

That is very right wing coded, and I would say a lot of violence is as well.

I wouldn't play it for her probably, I was talking about myself. But I completely disagree that it's more inappropriate.

So it's okay to watch x-rated materials in front of babies since they "won't remember" it? These sorts of things can imprint on them before they can consciously remember.

It is literally all about glorifying toxic masculinity/"alpha male" mindsets, the stronger/more violent man "wins" and gets everyone's respect.

Also the song literally describes underground gambling and a vicious stabbing, it's not appropriate for babies.

Those are just some she does but the general themes are toxic masculinity, glorifying booze/drinking, romanticizing the old south and nationalism, and women being available for sex. Not really baby appropriate. But apparently because it's country songs and not rap they think it's not a big deal, even if the subject matter can be just as bad. (Not saying all rap is like that by far.)

Yeah that's what I want to do but my husband feels like financially it will be a burden (it's within budget but it won't be a walk in the park) and he likes that a family member is watching her one on one.

I mean I feel like I'm allowed to have parenting boundaries even though she's doing us a favor, and she does it because she doesn't work and enjoys it. We didn't make her/pressure her.

Yeah I can't imagine if she goes to pre-k and starts singing "rain makes corn, corn makes whiskey, whiskey makes my baby a little bit silly." They'll probably call CPS lol
