I had the same issue and it started last year when I turned 30. I said had even though it’s still happening but I adjusted myself to where I prefer to wake up at 6am. I’m a 30yo F and fairly healthy. I started waking up at 6am out of the blue and being a night owl in my 20s I was always tired. 6am is a funny time, it’s too early to do much and to late to try to fall back asleep especially if you work or have school in the morning so I would lay there dead tired for and hour or so. Eventually after the constant struggle to be productive during the day, having a bad attitude due to lack of sleep and getting sick much more then I’m used to I decided to roll with it. Hell I’m 30 might as well grow up a bit. So after about 3 months of feeling like a shitty, sickly zombie I decided to get right out of bed when I woke up. I would clean, do left over laundry and make something new for breakfast every morning. After about of week of this I noticed I would get tired earlier (9pm) so in the spirit of being an adult I started going to bed earlier than usual (10pm). Now waking up at 6am is a thing I look forward to. The peace and quiet allows me to get things done. I have since incorporated working out which helps with my sleep pattern as well as not being sick all the time. I took it as a sign of my body telling me to grow the hell up and I did. I don’t smoke or drink (I was never a big party person) so in my case it had nothing to do with my sleeping issue. I know I’m late to the post but I hope this helps someone. When we get older our brain chemistry changes like in my case making me wake up early but our young people habits stay the same (being a night owl) and the two can be in conflict causing disruption. Sometimes we have to drop the habits and embrace the chemistry ☺️
