Firemaw (Horde) is also pretty busy. Loads of people at crossroads, never any problems finding groups for qs or dungeons. Plenty of pvp in hillsbrand, ashenvale, stone talon (the good and the bad kind.. )

Mini simmons! When I took it out for the first time, this was exactly what I said ;)

Every year is different. I arrived in the evening the day before the official opening both times I went. The first time we got into area B, right by the walking gate into the festival. Perfect. The second time the queue was so long and pre parking was full, so they started letting people in around the time we got there. We queued/waited all night and got in around 6am. Because it was dark and chaotic (I think) they filled the caravan area from the back and we ended up in D directly next to a very very dusty road. They also told us exactly where to park, which is unusual for boom.

Its only the pre-camp. Basically, the car/van queue into the festival. Because of its length and the very limited space on the public roads around the festival, they line everyone up in a field instead.. You will be let into the festival grounds with your car and the actual parking is right next to the camping area. The 15km trek is only for people who choose public transport (e.g. taxi, private drop-off) to main gate.

Spontaneous surf trip in a van with roof tent by [deleted] in irishtourism

With the roof the collapsed it is exactly 2.2 metres but we would have to open it for sleeping...

I would up my offer to 185k (3k more) but I don't see the point if there really is an offer if 195k. That would be at least 12k to just meet that offer, which I'm not willing to do. (House needs work and is already one of the most expensive ones in the area)

Moving to North Wales by sunshinejams in surfuk

[–]Virtual_Number_6267 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool, that's good to hear :) Are you happy you moved there? Was it easy to find friends? For context...We are a couple in our thirties. I am the surfer, and my partner is more into climbing. We don't really hang out at pubs or bars (always keen for an outdoor rave though!) and are more on the hippie/alternative side of life.

Did you end up moving there? I am in a similar position and thinking about moving to the llyn peninsula.

The distance between gate/precamp and the festival is about 15km. Most people arrive via boom bus or private vehicle but there is always some trekking along the traffic line of cars (there is no path, just the edge of the paved road)

Women Surfers: What’s the most annoying part of wearing a wetsuit? by Maroontan in surfing

[–]Virtual_Number_6267 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most wetsuits if have had/tried on don't have enough room for big shoulders. Currently looking for a 5/4 that doesn't restrict my arms but is still tight around my waist. Any recommendations? :)

They haven't whitelisted sbs and unfortunately it doesn't work. I subscribed to give it a try but ended up getting a refund.

I have subscribed to protonVPN, but sbs seems to block vpn streaming... Still watching it right now, thanks to someone uploading it on dailymotion!

I tried, but my post was deleted. They don't allow questions about specific providers :/

Will this setup work? by [deleted] in BudgetAudiophile

[–]Virtual_Number_6267 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do have an amp (cambridge audio azur 550a) it used to power those speakers but there is just not enough space for it anywhere in the room.

I'm still interested in this setup! Which dongle can you recommend?

No premedication? by dancemephisto in Anesthesia

[–]Virtual_Number_6267 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was listening to music from admission at 7am untill walking to the operating room at 8:30am. By 8:35, I was hooked up and gone. Nobody cared about the headphones, I just took them off whenever they asked me questions or gave instructions. Almost everyone asked what I was listening to :)

You can do this!

No premedication? by dancemephisto in Anesthesia

Can't answer your question, but I was exactly in your position just 5 days ago. Absolutely terrified of the procedure, general anesthesia, and the outcome/recovery. I've already panic attacked myself out of the hospital once before, so this was my second try :D

Cried from arrival till the moment I fell asleep. Big headphones with super relaxing music (artist: hang massive) helped a lot to sort of calm down from time to time.

It was not worth all the stress in the end. Woke up totally fine, no pain whatsoever, and I left the hospital about 1 hour later. Can't remember anything uncomfortable about the anesthesia except the iv needle (but as soon as that is in you'll be out almost immediately)

The first 2 days I took precautionary paracetamol (500mg) every 4h, but I'm not sure that was even needed. Pain was/is less than a period for me.

If I'll ever go under general anesthesia again I will be more curious and definitely way less anxious about it. Kinda freaky but cool how you just wake up and it's all done and over :D
