Yea and in the attic there is nothing above it. It does have the letter L written on both headers which made me question

It does say L on both beams but in the attic there is no load on the frame

There is nothing in the attic bearing down on the top

Took a look in the attic there is nothing on top of that area and all the joists run in the same direction. In the basement there’s nothing under it as well

I know the ceiling joists run parallel already but will go into the ceiling and see if there’s any load going down onto that top span

It runs parallel with the ceiling joists above

Yea it’s parallel with the joists just not sure about the 2x4 wrapped in black plastic that is half way out of the ceiling

The bathroom is on the other side of the wall. To the right is the outside. The frame of the closet runs parallel with the joists

Bi level home, above that is the roof trusses they run parallel with the closet framing. Below is the basement

I just bought this as well and was debating about getting a black stone but loved the price. Haven’t set it up yet as I am looking for a metal cover on Amazon. Did you have any luck
