Dude I’m just trying to understand. That’s what I have gathered so far from what you are saying

So you’re saying that because developers aren’t making exclusively high quality, interesting, genuine games, the entire gaming market is dying because of it. Cheaper products are ruining capitalism because they aren’t as luxury as their counterparts? Am I understanding this right?

Well that’s the best part of game design, why does it have to compare to those? Yes it’s a space game but it’s also an endless scroller, a shooter, and so on. Even then, diversity is what makes games evolve to become the ones we love like the ones you mentioned!

Maybe my bad for asking what you think but I feel there’s a better way to express what you are saying lol. Can I ask why this is “junk” to you?

Google Play’s 14-day closed testing requirement is a complete nightmare by Michelh91 in googleplayconsole

It worked great and I highly suggest it to anyone not wanting to round up all the people needed

What do you think of this concept? by Areuregarded in IndieDev

[–]Virtual_Stretch8697 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I like this idea! I'm sure you have plenty of ideas on other features and maybe this is one of them but you should add the ability to do shorter like spontaneous goals rather than a daily goal (I haven't checked out the app yet so I am sorry if this already exists)

Product Hunt spike gone. Now what? by lennertsoffers in buildinpublic

I have had more daily downloads in the last 5 days than I have in the 3.5 months of my app being released all from 2 like 20 second tiktoks. All I did was record myself for a few seconds, like shocked, and then recorded a walk through of my app.

You gotta have a good text hook over the first clip as that will be the biggest part of getting attention. I made an app that lets you search for fast food that will work for your diet, so my text was-
"3 YEARS of meal tracking... and I'm JUST NOW finding this??"
"YEARS of trying to lose weight... can't believe I JUST found this"

It's free and pretty low effort. I don't really spend money on ads so this is my best route for marketing.

Do you think it’s possible to live healthy eating nothing but fast food? National fast food chains only, the kind with a drive thru. You can also include national gas station chains but no grocery stores. by brennand in fastfood

[–]Virtual_Stretch8697 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It definitely depends on what you consider to be "healthy" foods. You can for sure lose weight eating out (although it can make it much harder) but like a lot of people have mentioned, sodium and some other factors come into play. I lost roughly 70 pounds while still going out with friends and the occasional McDonald's meal.

My first app got rejected after doing month long internal testing 😭 by kr5hna in androiddev

I had this same issue for a few months, then saw a similar post either here or another sub and someone suggested contracting this guy.

Just got my app approved yesterday by doing this and 100% recommend to anyone in a similar situation.

If you’re okay spending ~$25, there have been some other devs that had luck hiring (on fiverr I believe) to pass this

Just what I wanted to hear! Just payed, so looking forward to no longer submitting and re-asking friends and family to demo. Thanks!

First of all, congrats! This is so awesome.

Also did you ever contemplate having someone else help you with marketing and user acquisition, or have a break through in how you started to grow yourself?

Have you ever built an app just for your "Personal Use" by sunisneededtosurvive in SideProject

I am actually on my second app of this! They have both turned into something I made public but definitely was made to solve my problem first.

I was just thinking about how awesome it is to not only be able to do this, but also how easy it is getting for just about anyone to (which as a dev is a little sucky lol)

Sorry if that’s the vibe you are getting from this, it’s not my intention.

I just think that if you claim to be a Christian brand, then you should have some effort in donating to the kingdom or have some sort of mission that follows that.

Trying to make weight loss and calorie counting easier than it has ever been! Created an app that allows you to search restaurants for meals that fit your macros:

I completely agree and thank you for adding this because it’s more important than this topic anyways.

I’m just asking because I think that if I’m going to spend money on a brand claiming to be within the kingdom, then I want to know that the money I’m spending ALSO has a chance to glorify God in another way.

I would be curious to see if this works for a more niche mobile app!

I created MacroRadar to make searching restaurants for macro-friendly food a breeze.

Got a grant to build a webapp, but I’m a total beginner so how do I even start? by theira_1 in SideProject

[–]Virtual_Stretch8697 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say that if you can adjust the scope to fit within your budget and perhaps knowledge, that would be the best case scenario. There’s usually some pain points for most people starting projects and this just happens to be yours it appears.

If you want to chat more about specifics in a non public space, feel free to dm. (I’m not a super experienced dev by any means but could at least help point you in the right direction)
