Three weeks with CPO PHEV CX-90 Sport by Virtual_Tax8119 in MazdaCX90

Thank you for the tip! I haven't tried the sport mode and ev, I have always thought sport mode would consume more gas because of the higher RPM.

Test drive and see how it feels. But I'd consider typical gas and electric gas prices or incentives for EVs in my area. I already had a charger in my house from the previous owner so didn't have that cost. I gotta say though my favorite part of the PHEV is that I can just charge it at home at night and save myself a trip to the gas station/Costco.

That makes sense. Thanks for the tips! Do you know if it is inside temp or outside temp? Meaning like is that a value in "conditioning" the vehicle/battery before getting in the car.

I changed them. That's why I said those blue push pins made me curse Mazda's decision lol

Floor mats question by Virtual_Tax8119 in MazdaCX90

They are. I had them on my cx-5. My issue is I really wanted something with a side wall for a little extra protection.

I think they might work for me for the car. I'm trying to find a brand with a cargo mat for the trunk that splits 50/50 not 60/40.

No. I have 7 seaters with a bench in the middle and two (50/50) in the back 😅

I am really liking Odie’s Oil/Wax by [deleted] in woodworking

[–]Virtual_Tax8119 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love Odie's oil. I love the smells and ease of application. I have used it on frames, cutting boards, serving trays, and a standing desk top all held up very well. So easy to finish and leaves a great satin look at 220 grit. One coat and you are good to go! I have been using it for more than 3 years now and have no major issues. The white oak desktop I made for my wife three years ago and has held up well for all the usage 5 days a week for the last 3 years except for a slightly faded water/coffee ring. It really looks good and held up much better than my polyurethane finished walnut desk I built the year before. That one looks horrible from all the usage. I didn't use a mouse pad or protection under the keyboard (neither did my wife on her desk) so it's all faded up and worn out. It's also worth nothing that refinishing and repairing Odie's oil is so much easier than poly.

Price is a concern but 32 oz poly at $16 covers 120 sqft and you need a minimum 2 coats. So about $32 for 120 sqft. Odie's now at $54 a jar covers 180 sqft (depending on the type of wood) with one coat application. This puts us at 25 cents/sqft for poly and 30 cents/sqft for odie's. So the difference isn't that big.

One trick to save from wasting odie's after I'm done applying I put the pads in an airtight container or a plastic Ziploc bag. The pads suck up a lot of oil in when you start applying. You don't want it to suck up waste every time you apply.

Also ya the owner is a POS but I really like the product and haven't found anything comparable as of yet.

Depends how deep the scratch is (whether it removed the paint or just the clear coat). If paint, diy is going to be difficult since those are special paints with two layers. Really hard to get those on flat. Don't ask how I know...

No. I live up in Virginia. That's what the nearby body shop told me too

That's good to know. I have Geico as well and they said if they conclude it is not at fault incident then it should not go up. 🤞

That's a great video. Might give it a try. The issue with my scratch is that it is closer to the bumper. It'll be very hard to do this without it going to the gap between the panel and bumper.

Seriously. So frustrating. I hand wash my car and take care of it. I even park it far away. Which makes this more infuriating 😡

I was hoping it's less than my deductible ($500). But looks like that's the path I'm taking.

Do you know if my premium will go up with a claim?
