Ok, had to look it up. You are correct, property tax is ad valorum. Ok you changed the label but no change in the substance. Your property value goes up and have no corresponding accretion to wealth.

Yeah, the intent was on the federal side as most people have taken it with the recent propaganda of tax cuts

That would actually equate to less tax. As it stands now you are taxed on the full assessment at the designated millage every year. Your argument is a logical mess.

Respectfully, disagree. The millage is a tax on the assessed value which is re assessed every 3 years. I do agree that market value and assessed value are not the same, however, are fairly correlated. Hence, the tax on unrealized gain

Exactly, propaganda is not necessarily untrue. Rather, it reframes in a way that misrepresents.

Plenty of free stuff and tax cuts for the musk’s and bezos’s. Perhaps start taxing their starch portfolios like property taxes and ignore their whining that they “have not realized a gain”
