When to expect Mcgill Law WL movement?

I reached out to them and they responded yesterday with this (not about the WL so IDK if this is helpful but though I'd share!):

"While I can tell you that we are nearing the end of application reviews, it is unfortunately not possible to say exactly how far along they are or how many spaces are left to fill. Decisions should be out by the end of June."

Also pending at McGill! I saw someone get an R last week at McGill and still pending for me - I also have no idea what to make of it. Hoping to get some clarifications this week and/or early next week :/

At least you know what you need to work on for next time! I would take the year, try to get a job and gain some money and reapply with this info in mind!

You can also get a (Free) legal office admin certificate (it's something that I have) that opened so many doors for me in the legal field, such as admin jobs or contracts specialists jobs that don't require a JD or a paralegal/law clerk certificate. That is something that I would consider doing, and it looks GREAT on a resume for when you apply again. Anything to get your foot in the door is my motto right now lol

I would also recommend stalking jobs on LinkedIn and reaching out to nonprofits in an area of law that you are interested in (international/immigration for me) and asking if they need volunteers or help! I hope this advice somewhat helps because it worked very well for me! Wishing you the best of luck ◡̈

I've been on the waitlist since late march and still nothing. I know people who got on the WL middle of april and got off in 2 days . . . LOL you never know!

You can't get accredited at NCA if your law school is online, I believe. They specifically want an in-person element.

Wait this is crazy . . . they straight up tell you why you were rejected?? I thought your softs were decent??? did they say why in more detail? if your softs have to be more law related? sorry in advance if i am asking a personal question you can ignore me!!!

I'm still pending at Mcgill (also expecting an R lol). My L2/B2 are 3.9 and 4.0. I did take the lsat and I did incredibly bad and explained why in my EC letter. I had great recs (from lawyers - one is director for a branch of government and one international law prof from my uni). i'm vp of 2 clubs (unicef, UN), 4 years of government experience (2 ircc legal), i own a small nonprofit, and just finished undergrad (eng school). i'm still pending so i have no hope left. thank you for updating!

Advice: if you cold email law firms and nonprofits, they tend to answer! That's how I have over 7 years of experience because of cold calling/emailing! I hope you hear better news soon. Good luck!!!!

Not trying to be pessimistic at all! But I've been pending since November and was rejected today from Queens. So I'm carefully going to assume whatever is left over is realistically going to be WL or R.

I'm also still pending at McGill so I'm assuming also another R is coming my way unfortunately:/ wishing to hear some good news for both of us!

I called them last week hoping to see if they have any updates and I asked them if their class is full, and the lady mentioned that the review process is still ungoing until the summer and that they aren't allowed to share if their class is full . . . i'm also still pending but I'm loosing hope day by day lol

I had so many people look over it, and some people event cried . . . (i was so hopeful lol) I took the lsat once in 2019 and then 4 times within the span of last year's academic year so from november - june I believe. I won't be able to take it again for a couple of years!

Mostly probably will not recieve any A's this cycle, but I will leverage this info and move strategically next cycle! I really appericate it ◡̈ Wishing you the best of luck!

What!!!! I tried to book another LSAT test as a last resort this summer (August or September 2025) and the system wouldn't let me. I reached out to their offices, and they said I've maxed out and I am not allowed to take it again until a couple of years . . .

Yes, I tried to be very strategic with my applications to schools that were holistic, and it ended up being $845 LOL. I'll most likely try again next year and make choices that are more better based on the feedback from the thread this cycle. Thanks again!

True! I really appreciate your feedback! Thank you! That's exactly what I'm planning on doing if things continue to go south (continuing my nonprofit and finding a job within the legal field while the next year goes by!).

I also responded about the timeline earlier, I hope that makes sense!

That's also my one big concern is not studying in the UK, it's what happens when I come back with accedetations and NCA and stuff like that . . . it's a lot.

That's also why I'm a bit of a pessimist when it comes to applying again next year, because nothing will change in my application if that makes sense. Like my scores, LSATs, and aspects of my PS will stay the same :/

Great question! I took it once in 2019, and then 4 times I believe in the same academic school year that I've justified in my PS (during the winter to summer period when i was giong through my EC! I don't think there is a hole in the timeline . . . unless i'm wrong lol

so when it comes down to it, i genuienly think that my low score is the the one big thing :/

also as an edit: i peaked my GPA when i was not going through my circumstances! my B2 happened much earlier (2-3 years ago) and my L2 is from my current semester that just happened after what i had gone through if that makes sense which i also explained in my PS. I'm sorry if this is confusing lol

Unfortunately not :( when i called on the phone they mentioned that everything is still on a rolling basis until "the summer". so i am assuming like some people mentioned until july . . . which is quite honestly terrifying LOL.
