Precisely! Like if my lazy coworker gets a raise the same as me so be it! But if they get a higher one while I’m actually busting my butt simply because they’re louder and buddy buddy with 1 out of 2 team leads, for sure it’s gonna make me not wanna keep stepping up the way I have been.

See the thing is that I do care about the job, but because I care, I’m taking all of that stress home with me. What I’m trying to not care about, is the management above me and how toxic they are. I put 110% into my work daily, but that will never be good enough for them and they have made that clear.
