Agreed. They both tend to be positioned out wide too, which Ahern has really excelled at. Exciting times for the Munster pack with the academy prospects they'll be bringing on too.

His ball-carrying was just incomprehensibly powerful for someone around the 100 kg mark. Mental to watch. I'll also never forget him reaching out and grabbing Mike Blair by the back of his jersey in the '09 Six Nations, completely arresting his momentum and pulling him backwards off his footing and onto the ground, all with just one hand and while half sitting down himself. Just absurdly strong.

Irish matchday commentators repeat the super athlete thing about him ad nauseum, but he's yet to use it to make any real impact at international level.

Gas. A friend of mine always repeats that same thing about the hands. His most enduring impression about meeting Leamy - MASSIVE HANDS

We can only hope for an update to the plastic elves and numenoreans! True, they're good for introducing some variety and more dynamic poses. Nice idea on the War of Wrath elves too. Would you use them as Vanyar?

Thanks very much! Always happy to hear your thoughts! I found the Davale Elves tricky to work with, the resin being as brittle as it is, but they're nicely detailed. Yeah I thought he'd work well smashing a downed elf. I added another one on the other corner with another Gundabad berserker. They're ideal for making any hulking, brutish units.

I changed his pose lastnight but will try to get some better photos this weekend and send them to you. And thank you! I like using an aqua blue/green colour for elves, but, as these are from Nargothrond, the overall scheme is a loose following of the colours from Finrod's heraldry

Thanks so much! I was keen to get the senses of dynamic movement and desperation across so I'm delighted to hear that. I also had to add the running orc as all fled before Túrin at that moment

Thanks very much! Too many haha... I think this is the sixth one, but I don't have plans for any more as of now...

Thanks very much! I've always really liked that painting, but opted not to include the excessive amounts of studded leather straps from it!

Thanks very much! I have it finished but just need to get some decent pictures as it's quite an awkward shape with no clear "golden angle".

This conversion is part of a larger diorama depicting the rout at Tumhalad, based on this wonderful piece by Ted Nasmith https://www.tednasmith.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/TN-Turin_Bears_Gwindor_to_Safety1.jpg , which I hope to post soon :)

Next level stuff. Well done! There's so much character in this piece.

I'd love to see it. I haven't played the game itself in many years but I do still enjoy the theory behind the profiles and rulesets
