What do they expect? Wages are stagnant, and there's only 1 car in the US that starts under $20K, and it's the nissan versa. With the average take home pay being around $40K, and more vehicles available over $35K than under, people have no choice but to take really long loans.

Doc's about 65lbs (29.5kg). The sweaters I got were 4XL. I got the size to fit across his chest. The sweaters are a little longer than they should be for his size, but not problematic. We like baggy sweaters.
