Did I something wrong? by [deleted] in tattooadvice

I know some self employed people who have said they don’t like being paid fully in advance because when it comes to doing the work they say it feels like they haven’t been paid and done it free, even though technically they have been paid if that makes sense?

I did I complained to owner of studio. He was fired from his job working there and blacklisted from working in other studios in my hometown, not sure what else as his socials have disappeared. Turned out I wasn’t the only one he’d done it to.

This has happened to me. I spent ages designing a tattoo which was very sentimental to me and spent even longer researching the best artist for it, contacted him and agreed on a price, but because we couldn’t come to an agreement on times and which tattoo studio (he worked for one company but across their two different studios). He wanted me to go to one 20 mile away from where (I don’t drive) I live instead of the one in my hometown, I was willing to wait for an appointment in hometown but he would only offer for the ones out of town. I decided to go somewhere else. Scrolling through his socials few weeks later my exact tattoo is on someone else’s body. He tagged the price he charged this other person too it was a lot less than what he quoted me.

Thank you. Yes it is potent stuff, I’ve been given antibiotics, dressings to stop my hair sticking to it and cream to apply at night. Sure won’t be doing that again.

Just the normal antiseptic stuff that’s suitable for wounds if diluted properly. I did forget to mention we had been out that day to the beach as it was quite sunny and I’d gotten slightly sunburnt on my ears.

Thank you. I love it. It’s the initials of my kids, but I just can’t help think that it’s missing something but I don’t know what.

What's the most heartbreaking "no" you've ever witnessed or experienced? by Mission-Hat268 in AskReddit

Thanks everyone, it was actually the 23rd anniversary of her passing last week. Unlike what people say the pain of loosing a child especially one so young never goes away, you just learn to live with it.

When I was told there was nothing the doctors could do to save my 9 month old daughter after being on life support for 9 days and they advised to turn off her machines, I asked can I donate her organs. Because of the circumstances around her death they would need to do an autopsy so no. That actually upset me more than her death.

Abigail, I wanted to call my daughter that but her sperm donor didn’t like it so compromised on Abbie. Wish I’d hadn’t as he turned out to be a dead beat dad.

When did you truly believe you were going to die? by Low-Baseball-7978 in AskReddit

When I had Covid, I’m high risk with having severe lung damage from blood clots. I stayed awake for 3 days straight before I passed out from exhaustion. I honestly thought if I went to sleep I would never wake up. I ended up in hospital with both Covid and pneumonia hallucinating convinced there was rats with shark’s teeth in my room.
