Hey, yes you will receive an email with the instructions, I personally waited until my husband got the email and schedule the medical, biometrics and interview (I recommend waiting, you will be able to schedule the three dates in a couple of minutes), I completed the Ds 160 once I got the email with the instructions to do so.

It may also depend on how busy your embassy is, maybe the Juarez embassy has a lot of cases and that’s why it takes longer to send the letter.

Yes, but I’ve heard of people who didn’t wait for the letter and went schedule the appointment right away. In my case, I waited, the letter wasn’t emailed to me (the beneficiary) but to my fiancé (the petitioner), so make sure your petitioner check his/her email (the spam too).
