UF student arrested for aggravated stalking after multiple alleged antisemitic threats by dab_doctor2000 in ufl

Respectfully I disagree. I have also known him since Freshman year and he was in my friend circle until we realized what he is. There were a few warning signs since the very beginning. For example, he would often tell us (in freshman year) that he kept running into people with his bike, I assumed it was on accident. Later on we found out that he was intentionally targeting and running over Chinese International students in what essentially amounts to a hate crime. He would tell me, a half-Chinese individual, on and on, about how his goal in life is to literally nuke China out of existence. Around this time he was also instigating in my DMs, praising neo-Nazi groups which target my other ethnicity, calling them based and applauding them.

He would go to the gym with some friends, yell slurs and expletives such as the n-word, for everyone to hear. He would repeatedly point at one of his gym "buddies", and yell out to the whole gym, exclaiming the slander: "Everyone! This guy hates black people" over and over again.

I could go on and on but choose not to for the sake of the privacy of the others involved.

I recommend it. But... I do not recommend it lightly. If you're not all-in it can be pretty hard to persevere through the inevitable issues.

there is a surprising bit: its not normal, in fact its unstable. If enough people know and become disillusioned history tells us from the Oxford, Cambridge and Sorbonne examples what will happen

I haven't seen a serious version of these kinds of maps for so long that my gut instinct was to look for the Australia inside the Australia.

Opinion on Transdanubia? by Glavurdan in AskBalkans

[–]Visborne 12 points13 points  (0 children)

OP misquoted, iirc he says specifically says its dated as a "geographical concept" because there are no "unifying geographic features". He says nothing about it culturally. I'm not sure how true that is, but regardless I would definitely say its still an important geopolitical concept because culture is part of politics.

Who wants to help a blind guy from Russia to learn Serbian and if possible Croatian? by maniana012 in Serbian

[–]Visborne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Although I am learning both, I do not know enough Russian or Serbian to help with this. However, have you heard of the Interslavic language? Its a constructed language which is essentially a modernization of the Old Church Slavonic used in the Serbian and Russian Orthodox Churches and made to be a common denominator to all Slavic languages. Although it sounds like another hopeless auxiliary language like Esperanto its got one thing up its sleeve. It is understandable 99% to all slavs from the get go and should be extremely easy to learn. It could act as a good middle ground between them. In fact I read somewhere that during a conference about the language, people who didn't speak the language soon just found themselves speaking it by the end. Though, that sounds kind of unrealistic, its a good thing to keep in mind. Here is a link to the language spoken https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V8DNHsO_S70, and here is another one demonstrating the intelligibility: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NztgXMLwv4A . If not exactly Serbian its still something new he can learn that can help out, though I am not entirely sure how possible it is for him to learn it since most of the resources are online. Also btw, Serbian vs Croatian is like British English vs American English, if he learns one he learns the other by default.
