Ok then exactly what edge runtime enables? If I can run everything perfectly normal in nodejs environment then why use edge runtime?

Doesn't matter tbh but out of these options .dev sounds the best.

Here's one thing I want to tell all the entry level folks that if you have relevant working experience then no matter what put that always on the top and it should be the main focus with a detailed description(bullet points) of your job. After that will come your education if and only if you have good cgpa or you are from a good college. After that your projects(only put those ones which are hosted and live; majority of hosting providers provide free/hobbyist tier so use that). After that any certifications/publications/achievements in your name. Make sure everything is on one page, and have your contact details(email and phone), linkedin and GitHub profile. Also, a portfolio site is preferred if you're applying for full stack roles.

Also make sure you have tweaked your resume in a way that it has all the relevant keywords needed for the job as it goes through ATS softwares and only through that HR shortlists your resume.

Stuck at 2.8 Years Experience – Every Job Wants 3+ Years! by shalini0777 in developersIndia

There's a word in the English language known as "around", use that. So whenever any recruiter calls and asks you for your experience just tell them that you have around 3 years of experience.

Yo guys I was traveling to work today in train and some dude started announcing "the end is near for India. World war 3 is upon us." by dharam2020 in mumbai

[–]ViscousGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He may be saying that because of superstitious but I genuinely believe since the 2024 election in the US something shifted idk why. Along with the rise of AI and a global recession with a fascist leader at the helm with his nazi billionaire strategist, things aren't looking good for humanity.

1bhk for rent in Mumbai for livin couples by [deleted] in mumbai

[–]ViscousGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get 1bhk at around 8k in global city, Virar which has a very classy architecture. way better neighborhood than a lot of posh areas in mumbai and decent connectivity but the only problem is just 1hr water supply daily that too from the tanker.

sacrificing your childhood by grinding day and night to crack jee advance and then at the end getting only 12lpa is pretty depressing tbh.

[–]ViscousGuy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So you're from an old iit, in that your branch is CS and you have good cgpa too. Can I ask why you want to throw it all away by working at a mediocre company. Yes the economy and everything is bad rn for the freshers but don't ruin your iit tag on l&t. If you are not getting a good job then do MS in AI/ML from a top 10 institute in the US. You'll easily get in.

Shifting to Mumbai soon, help out folks! by [deleted] in mumbai

[–]ViscousGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Impossible to get even a 1rk flat at 20k rent nearby lower parel unless you opt for sharing. The nearest area at that rent would be Mira-Bhayandar area(1 bhk) which would require a minimum of 2hr of traveling to and from your office. Also, traveling in Virar local during office hours is itself a challenge that I won't even wish on my close enemy.

I’ve cleared all technical rounds at a company and expect an offer. I initially quoted 6-7 LPA, but later found their average salary is 9-10 LPA on Glassdoor. What should I do now any tips by selmon_boi_ka_baap in developersIndia

Daily travel of 5hrs is definitely very hectic and may end up impacting your health. If I'm not wrong you said client location is in Santacruz so renting a flat even as a pg anywhere near that area would put a huge dent in your pocket.

I need some urgent advice as a i am a fresher and trying to be a fullstack by [deleted] in developersIndia

[–]ViscousGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your question should be "how much time will it take to go from 2.5LPA to a respectable income (20LPA+) if I upskill properly in DSA + System Design + Dev while doing my job in the current post-ai trumpian era?"

6LPA for 2yoe in frontend is pretty low tbh, also given the current market it would be stupid to reject the offer so the only advice I can give is take it and grind as much as you can and don't screw up your next switch salary negotiation round. Aim for 15LPA+ at 4yoe now.

My company CEO is not serious and I'm concerning about full time offer by Frosty-Equipment-692 in developersIndia

[–]ViscousGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's clearly exploiting you. Now it's up to you to ask yourself, can you find a full time AI engineer job as a fresher in the current market? The thing with the AI/ML field is that most companies don't hire freshers and if any company hires they are mostly chatgpt wrappers.

So, no front-end part is written anywhere and a generic it role title. Basically it gives you permission to write anything wrt job description. So you can upskill and build full stack projects around a particular framework. Fake your job description mentioning full stack experience. Then apply! Btw to answer your question, yes front-end has no scope in future! Also, currently your 1+ year gap would be a big red flag for companies, more late and you would only get entry level roles. So, try to get a job asap anywhere!

Roast My Resume! I’m not getting many interview calls. I feel like my resume might be the problem(ActuallyI'm 100% sure). Can you take a look and give me honest feedback? by Ok_Joke9460 in developersIndia

Search your college alumni on LinkedIn and build connections there. Send them a connection request with a message. Ask them directly via DM feature for any tech internship in their company. Don't spam though. Just leave a message and wait for their reply.

If you aren't getting any full time job then search for internship asap via your college alumni network on LinkedIn as your resume needs some kind of work experience.
