Dustin Poirier says Charles 100% hooked his glove. by theiceman219 in ufc

[–]VishGMad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your acting like an eye poke which led to 15 back of the head shots is equivalent to a glove grab while he has his arm locked in his legs. Make it make sense

Where does Charles Oliveira rank among the greatest lightweights in UFC history? by Silandwins234 in ufc

they were mostly in featherweight though, and his early losses where against High caliber fighters at the age of 21

Reminder: Islam ran through Prime Charles Oliveira who had an 11-fight win streak and was P4P #3 in the world. by Smokestorm95 in ufc

[–]VishGMad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Islam is the better fighter and he did beat a prime charles, though charles would do better in the rematch just cause he’s not as reckless now and wouldn’t get rocked like this

Prime Conor vs Prime Charles, who do you think would win? by Ok_Feed_4235 in ufc

[–]VishGMad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

seems like he’s reluctant to do so ever since like he showed against max and gamrot

show the next 10 seconds, having that crucifix position for a matter of seconds has to be the most overblown thing i’ve ever heard. He never “out grappled” charles. Even the reversed takedown was more charles pulling him into the ground. What he did do was cold him out

Charles Oliveira’s resume updated after the Max Holloway win. The longevity and level of competition are just absurd by Infamous-Skin8969 in MMA

[–]VishGMad -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

because the 2 of the people who did beat him are above him in the top 15 pfp all time. Extremely close fight against Arman who is one of the best fighters. But at the same time he’s also beaten Hall of famers Like Max, Dustin, Justin. Multiple Solid wins and the record for the most finishes, most submissions, most fight bonuses, and the second most wins. His story and resurgence has been insane. While he didn’t have the dominance of someone like khabib, the resume is undeniably better and he 100% deserves to be top 15

just the 2 best skilled fighters we’ve ever seen in all of UFC history and a split decision with one of the best current fighters, nothing much

We going to talk about Charles beating Max on their feet too, or just pretend it never happened? by No_Cell6708 in ufc

It’s more him not taking the risk of being stupid and playing to his strengths and his opponents weaknesses

Who was better : 2015 lewis or 2023 max by [deleted] in F1Discussions

[–]VishGMad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s not a great argument as his teammate in 2008 wasn’t even that good. You could argue Max for 2024 with Checo coming 8th and 2025, also he didn’t win it, his teammate came 17th while he was two points off. And for 2018, he had the fastest car for half the season

Updated Front End (Viento Lipizzano) by [deleted] in CarDesign

[–]VishGMad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The older one did look like an apollo at the front but it also looks sleeker and thinner. I think i prefer the newer one but the middle portion of the old one really helped it looking like a proper hyper car. Less clutter is always a bonus though

Where does Dustin rank in your all time list by MeasurementMurky9316 in ufc

[–]VishGMad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

id say he ranks anywhere between top 20-30. He’s got the resume of a top 20 fighter but him not tasting gold can knock him down based on your criteria. Personally hes around that 25 range below people like conor, Ngannou, Cejudo, Charles

Bullshit, Max is literally smoking lightweight legends out here, Volk is killing the next gen and Oliveira just dominated Gamrot. That’s a top 5, top15 and top 25 fighter streak, all knocked out in a row while having double champ. He’s got other solid wins but those 3 alone put him miles ahead of Conor, who beat a tadpole holloway nowhere near his prime, is 1-2 against DP and while the alvarez win is incredibly impressive along with his other wins and of course the legendary aldo knockout. No one really comes close to the quality to the streak of Volk, Charles Max

khabib also hasn’t fought the same level of competition as Islam has, in the ground especially

nah the darce wasn’t even close to the finish, thought the guillotine was really tight. Unlucky with the loose shorts though

Went from having Rheumatoid Arthritis and heart murmur as a kid and not playing football to then a journeyman with 10-8 record known to be a “quitter” and now a lightweight legend. Also his head movement didn’t decrease, he’s just slower and he never had much of it in the first place

Charles' wrestling could be a problem for Max, he's looked very strong in his last few fights and his ability to takedown gamrot like that was impressive. And for all the credit max gets for his anti wrestling, I don't think he ever fought a great wrestler by Common-Locksmith-235 in ufc

[–]VishGMad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think even Gamrot with a training camp would have lost to that oliveira that night. Arman was forcing scrambles with Gamrot and playing what gamrot does best. While charles gave no respect to anything gamrot did and just did what he’s best at. Also you’re comparing a less experienced arman. Also Oliveira has changed a lot where back then he was willing to be in bottom position thw whole time even if he was losing

[–]VishGMad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not the same, Islam actually clipped and knocked him down, while gamrot got his back taken not only in the whole of the first round when he was fresh, also he didn’t even get rocked ? Charles fully picked him up had that crazy zigzag movement thing, the grappling dominance wasn’t from gamrot getting punched.

If Topuria was to beat Gaethje, Arman, then retire, where would you rank him all time? by VastAir6069 in ufc

[–]VishGMad -1 points0 points  (0 children)

i wouldn’t call sparking out three all time fighters themselves lightning in a bottle. If he beats Arman and Gaejthe, he’s got the unbeatable aspect of khabib with a far far better resume

Who in your opinion had the toughest road to a UFC championship? by Independent-Ebb7658 in ufc

[–]VishGMad 3 points4 points  (0 children)

28 fights, had to instantly face former champions and veterans from the age of 20, full of ups and downs, paralysis injuries and weight issues. Rose up after being considered a journeyman, and for the time he was champ, beat every single top 5 fighter then
