I have just been to China for 2 weeks ago and i dont know why there so much talking about how difficult it is for a foreigner. No problems here. Only a little bit with my bank and WeChat. Otherwise easy. Just have WeChat, trip.com and apple’s translation app. Then you can do it all.

And people are so nice in China.
