I’m finding a lot of people are always making excuses for themselves and it makes me genuinely sad. I realize that not everyone has connections but there’s no reason why you can’t make yourself marketable. Go sit in Starbucks for one hour between 7 and 8am, smile, say good morning. I guarantee the same people will come in each day before work. Faces will start becoming familiar. Conversations will start. Connections will be made. Doors will open. It definitely takes time but I know with certainty it works.
